Being a father is without a doubt a great gift from God in the life of any man. It is in our DNA, our essence and since the beginning we have known the importance of a father in a family. Today more than ever we can prove with many studies and also empirically that the role of a father does have a direct and indirect influence on a child.
When it comes to me, luckily I have my father and my mother and I am very grateful for the education they have given me to this day, even though each one had their own challenge in this and at the time I didn't understand it because I was quite young. Today, as I am a father of three children, I also have a duty to educate and teach them to prepare for this wild world we live in. I can better understand our role in a family and the weight of responsibility in having to take care of our children.
My father is a military police officer and he retired when I was still a small child. You should know that a police officer generally doesn't have that much time to dedicate to his family, especially at that time 30 years ago when the schedule between them was quite tight. But even so, with these "challenges", I was able to learn a lot from him and the character I have today is thanks to my parents.
Having an Absent Father Is it a Problem?
This is undoubtedly a [quite complex] issue(), as there are several factors that we can highlight when a father is absent in a child's life. Unfortunately, today it is something that is quite common to see in society. A father has a fundamental role in the development of a child, ranging from character formation to his emotional control in any decision-making.
Sometimes a father becomes absent not because of a lack of desire to have his responsibilities in a family, but because his life was interrupted either by illness or by simply being murdered. I still remember to this day the case that happened to my cousin's husband who worked as a security guard in a hospital and he was murdered, leaving his wife (my cousin) and their two young children. I remember this nonsense even appearing in the newspaper.
My niece, who was very little at the time, I think about 5 or 6 years old, was lying on top of her father's coffin and didn't want to get out. It was a very sad situation and only God knows what is going on in the heads of these children whose parents' lives were interrupted due to cowardly crimes. Today I can say that they had an education fulfilled by their grandfather as the father figure that they didn't have at the time and it is likely that grandparents will always have this responsibility to somehow replace the parents in raising the child.
On the other hand, when there is no father present in a child's education, much less the support of grandparents, the chances of that child growing up and becoming involved in crime increase considerably. If with parents, there are families destroyed due to drug and drinking addictions, imagine when you don't have a father to impose limits? The father not only exists to guide the right path, but he is also a mirror for his son to grow up and realize the good and honest man he should be one day just like his father.
Therefore, there are problems in a family where the figure of a father is not present. The possibilities for this child to be thrown into the world of crime are high, but also his grandparents and especially his mother can work around this absence and will be able to provide the love and education necessary for this child to grow and develop in the best way to know how to live in society.

Ser pai é sem dúvidas um grande presente de Deus na vida de qualquer homem. Está em nosso DNA, nossa essência e desde os primórdios sabemos a importância de um pai em uma família. Hoje mais do que nunca podemos comprovar com muitos estudos e também de forma empírica que o papel de um pai tem sim influência direita e indireta de uma criança.
Se tratando de mim, felizmente tenho meu pai e minha mãe e agradeço muito a educação que eles me deram até hoje, por mais que cada um teve seu próprio desafio nisso e na época eu não entendia por ser bastante pequeno. Hoje, como sou pai de três crianças, também tenho o dever de educa-los e ensina-los para se prepararem para esse mundo selvagem que vivemos. Consigo entender melhor o nosso papel numa família e o peso da responsabilidade em ter que cuidar dos nossos filhos.
Meu pai é policial militar e ele se aposentou quando eu ainda era uma criança pequena. Você deve saber que um policial geralmente não tem tanto tempo para se dedicar na sua família, principalmente naquela época de 30 anos atrás onde a escala entre eles era bastante apertada. Mas mesmo assim, com esses "desafios", eu pude aprender muita coisa com ele e o caráter que tenho hoje é graças aos meus pais.
Ter Pai Ausente É um Problema?
Isso sem dúvidas é um assunto bastante complexo, pois existem diversos fatores que podemos destacar quando uma pai é ausente na vida de uma criança. Infelizmente, hoje é algo até bastante comum de ver na sociedade. Um pai tem um papel fundamental no desenvolvimento de uma criança que vai desde a formação de carácter até em seu controle emocional em qualquer tomada de decisão.
Às vezes um pai se torna ausente não por falta de vontade de ter suas responsabilidades numa família, mas porque sua vida foi interrompida ou por doença ou por simplesmente ser assassinado. Lembro até hoje o caso que aconteceu com o marido da minha prima que trabalhava de vigilante num hospital e ele foi assassinado, deixando sua esposa (minha prima) e seus dois filhos pequenos. Lembro que até apareceu no jornal esse absurdo.
Minha sobrinha que era muito pequena na época, acho que uns 5 ou 6 anos, ficou deitada em cima do caixão do seu pai e não queria sair de lá. Foi uma situação bastante triste e só Deus sabe o que se passa na cabeça dessas crianças que tem a vida de seus pais interrompidos por conta dos crimes covardes. Hoje posso dizer que eles tiveram uma educação preenchida pelo seu avô como a figura paterna que não tiveram na época e é provável que sempre os avós irão ter essa responsabilidade para de alguma forma substituir os pais na criação da criança.
Por outro lado, quando não se tem um pai presente na educação de um filho, muito menos o apoio dos avós, as chances dessa criança crescer e entrar para a criminalidade aumentam consideravelmente. Se com os pais, existem famílias destruídas por conta de vícios de drogas e bebidas, imagine quando não se tem um pai para impor limites? O pai não existe apenas para guiar o caminho certo, mas também é um espelho para que seu filho cresça e perceba o homem bom e honesto que ele deverá ser um dia assim como seu pai.
Portanto, existem sim problemas numa família cujo a figura de um pai não é presente. As possibilidades para que essa criança seja jogada no mundo do crime é alta, mas também os seus avós e principalmente sua mãe pode sim contornar essa ausência e poderão proporcionar o amor e educação necessária para que essa criança cresça e se desenvolva da melhor forma para saber conviver na sociedade.
