We had another amazing session at the newbies initiative last sunday and it was really everything we needed. The session was basically to charge and motivate us to stretch ourselves to move from the point we are to a better level. @nkemakonam89 , @vickoly , and @starstrings01 selflessly took it upon themselves to give us all the motivation and also encourage us to utilize our presence of hive to better our financials and even our lives in general. It was an amazing session and personally, I was really charged to do more on hive and currently making plans on them.
The power of setting goals can never be overemphasized. It is very important to set goals because it helps us to have a particular target or destination that one will decide to attain.
I have decided to take my hive growth very serious and I have some goals that I have set, using the ‘S.M.A.R.T’ rule. When the initiative started last month, I set a goal to earn 500HP by the end of December and right now, I have 416.210 HP and I am positive that I will hit my goal, and go beyond the target before December ends. In the next six months, my goal is to have up to 2000HP, 5000HP in the next 1 year and 10,000HP in the next 2 years.
I also plan to become a full hiver and that implies that I will be very active on the Blockchain and interact more with other authors. That will definitely help in increasing my visibility on hive, and also discover more opportunities while I explore it.
Another important thing I am hoping to achieve in the next few months and years is to be an onboarder and also help educate newbies on hive at the time. It will be an amazing way to give back to the system.
To achieve all these and more possibilities yet to be discovered, here are the strategies I will adopt;
CONSISTENCY: Consistency is key', so they say. It is very obvious that without consistency, all the plans I have stated above will just be delusions. I will try as much as possible to stay consistent on the blockchain in order to achieve my goals.
SHARE QUALITY CONTENTS: I will focus on creating quality contents only and sharing them on the platform. I will work on improving my writing skills so as to build the confidence to putting them out.
ENGAGEMENT: It is not news that to thrive on hive, it is important to take engagement serious. I will explore different communities and encourage amazing authors like myself by upvoting, dropping reasonable comments and also reblogging their posts.
COMMUNITY: I will explore hive and discover more communities, partake in contests and also post In communities that support their authors.
INVESTING: I will learn and research more about tokens, delegate my HP to tokens and also buy coins that proves to be promising.
When embarking on a journey, there will be obstacles, challenges, ups and downs and it is very important to have a destination and plan for anything we want to achieve. I realized that it is very possible to make it on hive, especially the set of people that persevere, wants to know more and are hungry for success.
Exploring different communities is very important, you never know what you might find. Some of the ways to thrive on hive are to share good contents, engage well, join communities that will support you, having a mindset that you want to excel on the platform, being consistent, setting of goals, and so on.
Also, you should not get discouraged by little warnings. Take your time to know what is happening in the blockchain. Build your HP and never neglect it because it is one of the most important things to do on hive. It will help in buying coins, earning tokens, airdrops and most importantly, prepare for the bull run. Bull run is a period where a lot of people are buying cryptocurrencies and cause the market to rise.
It is also very important to never compare yourself to other authors. If you see someone doing better, it pays more to learn from them and grow more that to just compare and hurt the confidence you have built all these while.
