Of course, i have a nickname, which is said to be daniky. Though in the past, I've bore diverse nicknames but decided to settle for this nickname. Daniky is a nickname that connects my first and middle name to for form a whole. "Dani" is a short form for "Daniel" while the "ky" means Kayode. To combine both, we will call both Daniel Kayode." So using the short form daniky means a lot to me.
How I came about the name
This started when i was making a choice of username for my hive account. I sort for simple names i could use but found out that existing hive accounts are already using those names i tried. That was what got me to use daniky as my username. Ever since then, I've been using this name as all my social media handles.
At first, "daniky" seems to look like a feminine name, but when it comes to the use of making it a nickname, it sounds less feminine in nature. So that was what made me go by that choice of name.
Today, most of my friends and colleagues are used to calling me daniky, and I like it that way. One is expected to appreciate the nick or usermane he or she has. The use of usernames goes as far as making you known or trend by that name you're using. Most authors on the blockchain prefer using their nickname rather than their real name. Most of the times this is due to privacy or security reasons. Nickname serves diverse uses in people's lives. It's a unique name one can use instead of a real name. So when using the nickname it's more like the signature of a person.
Using my nickname is more like an easy way to get to me or assess me and this has benefited me alot in one way or the other.
