Of a truth, judging by mere looks can be deceiving. There was a guy i knew 5years ago whose name was Austin. He was about 25 years of age and looks more like a roughian. Due to the way he dresses, many believed he was likely a fraudster or cultist while on the contrary, he wasn't.
Many people within the community detests him due to his shabby appearances. Little did they know that he was an upcoming music artist and he dresses that way due to the mode of music he displays. Austin decides to mellow and keep his hands crossed at the moment since he got into that environment he was newly. He made every effort to rapport with people within, far and wide, but he was looked down upon because of his mode of dressing. Austin did perform at clubhouses, hotel, wedding occasions and diverse ceremonies. He was also a master of ceremonies (MC) at big occasions and that is what he does for a living. He got lots of money on a monthly basis, built estates in most strategic places. He was a multimillionaire but no one knew his financial status. He invested in shares of about 5 different companies and was really successful. Though i had the thought and feeling that he was a wealthy person who chose to make anonymous his financial status.
Despite the fact that Austin wasn't loved or accepted by the majority of people in his area, he decided not to let that bother Him but rather decided to grant scholarships to some people around him without them knowing his intentions. Before he did, he won a lottery that got him to be noticed on television. The visa lottery was to get Him to Canada, but he decided to give keep it up for charity. As soon as people discovered his worth, they started appreciating him. Many who abandoned him suddenly wanted his friendship by all means to be in his good book while Bella (his ex-girlfriend) wanted him back by all means. Austin reconciled with his girlfriend and accepted the apology of those who neglected or treated him bad when they saw him to be nobody. Though they're yet to know Austin's financial status.
In order for Austin to know those who genuinely like him for who he is (not for the lottery visa he won) he decided to go on a trip by car to the airport. Before he left he got so many pleasantries from his well wishers and some promised to support and stand by him, yet he kept it privacy to himself till he left the environment Many waved him "bye" in pretends and he responded delightfully.
On his way to airport it was said that Austin had an accident. The news spread farther and wide. Austin was in the custody of a doctor. The doctor called friends to informed them of Austin's predicament and asked for support from those who could be of help but they neglected him, including his girlfriend as well. Life became more unrealistic as Austin felt so disappointed and withdrew the check. Later news went through that Austin is doing great, and that he has become a billionaire. Those who refused giving a lending or helping hand to Austin later regretted their actions.
Lesson I Learnt from all these
- Never be too fast to judge people
- Be careful with the kind of people who leave around you.
- He humble
