We're always trying our best to be something more than just humans, something more than the breathing walking bag of emotions we really are. Deep down, we're all still wishing we were destined for something bigger.
We wish we are part of something phenomenal, something out of this world, something transcendental.

We try our very best to be someone remotely close to the superheros we see in the movies; Loved, celebrated, feared, respected, acknowledged, and even a little worshipped. Whether we admit it or not, we all want to be better than everybody else, to be the best thing this world ever had to offer, to be divine.
This feeling and desire rushes through all of us and it doesn't just end there. No! We believe in it, and no matter how small that voice is, it keeps telling us we really are divine. It tells us that we are really different, unique, better, and the best there is.
You see, this small voice, harmless as it may seem, has more power than you think. If this small voice ceases to remain small, it can cause destruction, serious destruction. There's nothing more dangerous than people believing they're gods, people who believe they're perfect, impeccable, pure, and better than others. If that voice was to be given any more attention, our world would definitely be in ruins.
Thankfully, all hope is not lost for we have been blessed with something constant enough to not let this happen. To not let us perish. We've been blessed with pain, all of us! Each and every one of us, we've all been given our own crosses to bear and tears to shed. We all have our days of feeling hopeless and weak.
We've been blessed with something that reminds us we're humans, helpless, clueless, and imperfect beings. So let's not take all our struggles for granted because honestly, pain is our saviour.
Even though most people see pain as a negative experience and tend to always find ways to avoid it, pain unfortunately is an inevitable part of life and we have to deal with it whether we like it or not. Understanding the positive side of pain can go a long way in helping us scale through life since what doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
Pain always teaches us something, something that makes us resilient to a lot of things. I don't think there is anyone who has passed through pain that didn't learn one or two things from such experience. Like I said earlier, pain reminds us that we are humans and it prevents us from thinking we are more than our creator.
We are better off learning how to perceive pain better, instead of letting it overwhelm us. We should learn how to make pain change us for the better, instead of allowing ourselves to be consumed and destroyed by it.
