The 37th week was very exciting, there were many interesting titles in that week and many participants who made the 37th week of excitement very much. Unfortunately the 37th week has just ended and this time we will enter the 38th week and will start another fun in this 38th week. The 38th week is also no less interesting than the 37th week, where in the 38th week there are many interesting contest titles that will be very interesting to discuss, and I think the excitement in the 37th week will last until this 38th week and just like the previous week, in this 38th week there will also be many participants who will present their best writing and of course the fun will begin in this 38th week.
As has been announced, in the first edition in this 38th week we will discuss stories or true stories that involve us, of course there are thousands of stories that we experience in life, as well as me, and of the many stories that exist. In my life, I will discuss one that I find interesting in this post, so, read it carefully.
A story is a life experience or a feeling experienced by someone or ourselves that we tell either by word of mouth or from an essay or writing. There are many stories in this world along with many things and history that happened in this world, and it is from those things that story after story emerges, both written and unwritten. Stories are not only from other people, we also have many stories in our lives, and sometimes some of those stories are secrets or very valuable experiences and we don't want to share them with others.
We see a lot of films made based on true stories, this proves that important events in ancient times were first spread by word of mouth, newspapers, and so on. They spread it through these intermediaries because in ancient times there was no internet network as it is now, therefore, some important stories in the past can only be told by people who have experienced it, and we may only be able to record them for record it can be read by later generations.
I myself also have many stories, both which I can explain and which I must not explain at all, both ordinary and very memorable for me. Surely these stories are things I have experienced before and that is why I can tell them. But for this post, I'm going to tell a story that I think was very memorable in my life, and it made me remember that story and I rarely tell it to other people.
So take a look at my story here.
This story begins when I was little, at that time it was the dry season in my area and at that time the rice fields near where I was at that time had just faced the dry season after their harvest season. As you know, after the rice harvest season, the rice fields become spacious because they clean everything until it becomes field, burn the husks, and clean up the leftovers so that the rice fields look spacious. The dry season that comes with summer makes the soil in the rice fields which used to be loose with mud become cracked over time, this makes many cracks around the rice fields and the dried mud becomes solid. Usually at times like this, the children use it to play kites, they can freely run around the wide and dense paddy fields to raise their kites. I also sometimes play kites at that place which makes me often go back and forth there, not only that, I also often use the paths on the edge of irrigation in the rice fields as shortcuts to get to several places and if the conditions in the rice fields are wide and not muddy anymore, making me often use it as a shortcut that cuts the way from my house to various places.
At that time, it so happened that after the harvest season in the fields and summer came, we used it to harvest coconuts which a lot of trees grew around the rice fields behind my house at that time. The coconut tree must be climbed first so that the fruit can be picked, and it happens that the trees are tall, which makes the process of harvesting the coconuts to be done one by one, and every one tree has been harvested, my father and I will collect the fruit fell scattered during the picking process.
We have to wait for the person who picked them to come down so that the coconuts that fall during picking don't hit our heads, and after the pickers have come down from the coconut tree, it indicates that the conditions are safe and we start picking the scattered coconuts.
I really enjoyed doing it, collecting young and old coconuts with my father at that time was a fun thing. I even look for coconuts that fall into the bushes and collect them. I also sometimes enjoy young coconuts during hot days while waiting for the picking process.
When I was busy collecting coconuts scattered in the rice fields, I was suddenly surprised by a snake that fell from a tree right in front of me, the snake was black and after it fell in front of me, it immediately crawled fast so I was shocked and screamed uncontrollably out of fear, and was even heard by people who were quite far from me. They all came to see me screaming hysterically while jumping up and down, they thought that unwanted things had happened to me, therefore they were all shocked and rushed towards me. I am one of those people who is afraid of snakes, let alone snakes, I even feel amused just by seeing a caterpillar let alone a snake. During the tragedy, it was the first time I saw a real snake at a fairly close distance, even though when I screamed hysterically the people around me who were also panicking at that time tried to calm me down and said it was just a non-venomous rice field snake.
But I don't believe them no matter what, a snake is a snake, they won't tell you it's not venomous and our guesses about it might be wrong. It really shocked me and traumatized me, until now I'm a little afraid if I'm in places full of bushes or rice fields even though they're clean, because I would definitely imagine something like this if I walked on the edge of the rice fields until now. That incident really gave me a deep sense of trauma, even though some people think of it as a slightly ridiculous story, that's what actually happened at that time.
That's my ridiculous story of being shocked and traumatized by a snake, thank you and see you in the next edition.
Special thanks to
