Week 16 has started to end and during this week 16, there is a lot of excitement in the contest this week only 16. As previously announced, this Sunday we will start with something more exciting, namely the Sunday Creative Initiative which is planned to start this week, and I'm really excited to see the fun there.
For the last issue in week 16, I will discuss a little about Games, and this is certainly a very interesting discussion because I myself am a person who often plays games. In this discussion I am required to argue about game addiction and whether if we are paid to play, will this addiction be a positive thing, to find out my opinion on this, please read carefully in my post this time.
I don't think there is anyone in this world who doesn't know what games are which have become a part of modern human life. Games began to be known in the 90s, at which time many developers were competing to develop the games they released. In the 90s, we also know the name Playstations, namely Game consoles that are very popular until now. Not only Playstations, we are also recognized with other consoles such as the X-Box series, Nintendo, and so on with their unique games. The game console has also spread throughout the world, including Indonesia, of course. Until now, game consoles have developed very rapidly and can not only be played on the original console, but they can also be played on PCs and they even provide a mobile version that we can play on smartphones. Talking about Smartphones, in the current era even the most popular games are online games that are specifically provided for Smartphone devices, initially Games on Smartphones can only be played alone, if you want to play with friends, then we have to connect them via Blootooth or similar wireless devices. As time goes by Online Games take the eyebrows of the Game world and offer Games based on Android or IOS and they make it connected to the network or commonly called Mobile, this way is more economical, efficient, and very easy to connect multiple users to the Game and play together, improved graphics and game types are also included in some of the advantages of this online game. In this Online Game, Micro Transactions are also provided, which is now an important thing in an online game for their players to buy items that will have influence in the games they play later. And this has attracted many users until the emergence of the E-Sport sport which is the highest championship in the Game world.
The many games that can be played at this time make us spend more time playing them, especially at this time we are required not only to win the game, but we are required to achieve the achievements available there to get items or the like which if purchased through Micro Transactions are very expensive. Games that were originally intended for mere entertainment turned into a very exciting competition arena and more than just entertainment, and this is my view of games in this era. Not surprisingly, with so many developments, many people are very interested and even addicted to playing, as if they can't stop their Game before they manage to complete one of the Achievements they have been waiting for and this makes players very challenged. So that players don't get bored, many developers carry out events in the game so that the atmosphere in the game becomes very lively and this is a very interesting and successful marketing technique. Therefore, many children, teenagers, and adults are addicted to playing it. If adults can possibly divide their time to play games, they usually play with their friends in the evening after a long day at work and this is normal. Unfortunately in this case the children become so addicted to playing games that they neglect their school and studies, and this will certainly have a bad impact on them. Moreover, Micro Transactions that offer interesting items make their parents forced to spend some money to buy them, and this is certainly not a good thing.
But, what happens if Gamers are paid to play games continuously, can their addiction be said to be a profitable or detrimental thing even if they receive payment...?
To me, being addicted to playing games is a bad thing, even if you get paid to play them. What distinguishes it is that you get paid from your hobby and of course you will get this if you are very skilled at playing it, maybe you have played it thousands or thousands of times and of course you can only do that if you feel addicted. And this will happen if you are in an E-Sport team or the like which will be forced to play non-stop so you can win, of course for those of you who are addicted this becomes a fun thing, for those of you who start feel tired of this being unpleasant and you can't help but have to play it because you've been paid for it. Maybe for those of you who are paid, being an addict is not too detrimental but for those of you who are not paid, being an addict is fine but you must still manage time to play, prioritize school or work rather than playing games, even if you want to buy items inside Games with Micro Transactions, try to save money to buy it and don't force it if you don't have money because it's basically not important, because what you have to understand is that games are for entertainment, not a top priority.
Those are some responses from me regarding addiction to the Game even though you are paid to play it. Hopefully useful, thank you and see you.
