As you know, week 17 is almost over and this time we have entered the 3rd edition this week. This week's discussion is very interesting with some of the existing discussions, and this time the discussion is no less interesting, namely about the injuries we have experienced. Everyone has experienced it too and it was really the scariest thing at that time. I've experienced it myself so, read carefully my story about an injury that I had while I was working.
Injuries are something that cannot be predicted, this is an accident and no one wants this to happen. Injury is also a very terrible thing when this happens and it really traumatizes us when we experience it. When we work or during strenuous exercise of course it triggers injury to us, especially the work we do is a dangerous job. Therefore, if we work, it is recommended to wear protective equipment and also anything that can protect us from injury when we do activities. The things that we commonly see are safety vest equipment, gloves, shoes, and also safety helmets. These things are the most common safety devices worn and of course some of these objects are very useful for protecting our bodies. Severe injuries also often occur during sports and other outdoor activities. For example, soccer is a sport that is loved by many people, this sport can also trigger severe injuries to the legs, thighs, and also the head. These parts are parts that are often used when playing ball, even professional athletes often have injuries to the legs and head that require them to retire early because of this. Usually injuries that often occur while playing football such as Hamstring Injury, sprains, torn thigh muscles, and even fractures in the leg. And this is really painful, therefore the athletes when going to compete are required to wear protective equipment, especially in the legs.
I myself also often experience injuries at work and also exercise. When exercising I also often experience sprains, cramps and so on, because maybe when I exercise I don't warm up. I usually play ball and this sport makes me often injured in the legs but luckily all the injuries I had during sports didn't take me to the hospital because I just had a normal injury and it will heal on its own. When I work, I also often experience injuries such as cuts with sharp objects and so on. But of all the injuries I've had, I've had an injury that I think was very severe, and the worst thing was that I had it when I was about 12 years old. At that time our new house had just been built, so I was tasked with cleaning and I also looked at my new house which had just been completed, when I cleaned the room, I saw some workers there who managed to catch a squirrel and put it in a cage , of course this intrigued me to look at it and even want to hold it. I had been warned not to touch the squirrel but I used to be a bit of a stubborn kid and unbeknownst to the workers and my parents I grabbed onto the squirrel and tried to hold the squirrel.
I managed to do it myself without them knowing, and at that moment I was very happy when I touched the squirrel's fluffy fur and to me it looked very cute.
It didn't take long, my pleasure turned into a disaster because after a while holding the squirrel I was actually bitten by it. I held it by the stomach with my two hands and I tried to turn it upside down, after a while his head turned around and bit my index finger to shreds, and this was just an instant. If you've ever seen, squirrels have fangs that can even pierce a coconut and I was bitten with those fangs. My hand turned red in an instant and a lot of blood was dripping from my torn index finger. I didn't even dare to see it myself, my parents immediately panicked and tried to treat me with various drugs for first aid and it didn't work until finally after trying various alternatives, finally my wound was bandaged and the next day the torn wound that I had was no longer bleeding but it still hurt. and swelling occurs. What I was afraid of at that time was catching rabies in my wound, but luckily I cleaned it immediately when I was bitten, and when the wound was exposed to water it was very painful and unimaginable.
After a week, the wound I got from the squirrel's bite had healed, but I was only able to use my fingers normally after a month, even to write. It was the most unforgettable experience and injury for me.
From my story earlier, it can be concluded that injuries can occur anywhere and anytime, for that it is necessary for us to always use safety when doing work. I hope you like my story, thank you and see you in another post.
