It has been a really crazy week, trying to find time to take enough air into my lungs and balance everything out. Examination period is definitely a time I do not look forward to and because of it I almost missed the first Newbie's Initiative task.
I'm going to get right to it.
What is goal setting to you?
Personally, I think it's basically putting ahead what you hope you achieve in the time to come. I'd say it's more like a serious guided bucket list, placing important and vital achievable things that would actually help the betterment of your life.
I'm pretty sure google has a better and more informative way of putting it but I'm only human.
Two years back I wouldn't have pictured myself being anywhere near where I currently stand.
I had no clue, neither did I have an idea what I'd do with my life and there was a constant, "Where do you see yourself in five years", breathing on me from everywhere.
All I wanted to do was exist in the moment but not anymore. Time flew by and I found myself changing with the realization that I need to achieve more with myself which brings me to the next question.....
Why do you need to set smart goals?
In everything you do, there should be something to achieve from it. Whether it's watching a movie, at that point, the entirety of your mind is relaxed, the key point, you're achieving relaxation.
Goal setting has to be one of the most important basics of life. I'm the most organized person I know. I like to put things in place, so it's important to goals set, and not just that, smart goals so you can know what is attainable and what is not because in reality, we really can't have it all.
What are your goals as regards your Hive power, your followers, your engagement, your consistency, and any other goals as a newbie here on Hive?
I started Hive with a mindset, I was here to just write, make millions and get on with my life.
I didn't really stop to think, how would I do it. I set a goal in my head and it basically revolved around cashing out.
I honestly did not think it would become a place of solace for me. I just want to write so can share what I have to say with people.
I get to talk to people all over the world that I have never even seen. I'm not to proud to admit that I actually squealed when @itsostylish followed me.
Yes I screamed when I crossed a hundred Hive Power. The little steps that I didn't even realize that I was taking mattered a lot.
I won't say I'm a consistent person here, especially now that I am swirled with exam but I do try and one of my best things to do now is check people's comments on my post, read their post and engage.
It honestly feels really good being part of the community and I have made a lot of friends, with @kingsleyy toping the list. I'm really glad I found Hive.
I intend to keep growing, even though it's not written down, I intend to make it to at least two hundred and fifty Hive Power before the month runs out, get at least 20 more followers as I am currently just a little above 40, write at least one post everyday immediately I drop my pen on the twenty eighth and just keep sharing.
The baby attainable goal steps.
Are they smart goals?
Definitely. At the beginning, I wrote that goals are achievable things that help you better yourself and all that I have listed is definitely something that would make me grow and be better because now for me, it's all about self love, self growth and happiness.
What strategies do you want to put in place to achieve your goals?
Inorder to build my hive power, I know I'm going to keep writing consistently, so that's like killing two birds with one stone. It shouldn't be much of a hassle since now, I exist to write.
I'm not exactly sure how to build my followers, I've never been the kind to be in front. I like staying in my corner quietly where it's convenient comfortable.
I've been doing a lot of stepping out of my comfort zone, I even headed a group practical two weeks ago.
Growth.
Since I'm not sure, maybe I'll try the "I'll follow you and hope that you follow me back strategy".
We'll see.
I want to get better, be a better writer,be a better everything and one of the best things about my life right now is that if I'm asked, "Where do you see yourself in the next five years?", I can definitely answer and it's all thanks to taking a stepping stone with Hive.
