Hello friends, happy and wonderful day! Sunday is here again, with bright sunshine and lots of warmth. However, we don't stop preparing and enjoying our meals and desserts for the day. Today I am sharing with you a sweet recipe, it is a brownie that we were taught in the course on Tuesday. I took advantage of the fact that my son and daughter-in-law arrived yesterday, and I prepared this dessert for today's afternoon snack, as well as practising what I had learnt and tasting this delicacy, I prepared a smaller quantity of the recipe that the teacher taught us to gain confidence and practise.
Ingredients, we will need:
112 grams of cocoa
100 grams of sugar
100 grams of butter
30 grams all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
Vegetable shortening for spreading
1 tablespoon oil
Bond paper
Garnish:
20 grams of chocolate drops
Preparation: step by step:
To start, preheat the oven to 130 °C. Then, grease the baking tray with vegetable shortening, place the Bond paper and grease it with vegetable shortening and fit it into the tray.
Melt the butter, either on the cooker or in the microwave. Then set it aside until it is at room temperature, as it cannot be added to the hot mixture.
- Sift the cocoa to make sure there are no lumps.
- Add the sifted all-purpose flour, we will always use this type of flour when making brownies.
- Add the sugar, taking into account that we will also incorporate the chocolate chips so that it is not too sweet, reduce the amount of sugar to 100 grams, add the salt.
- Next, add the eggs one by one, so that if any of them are in a bad state, we can discard them without ruining the brownie mixture. Continue mixing gradually.
- Add the butter at room temperature, stir.
- Add the oil to soften the brownie, and finally, add the vanilla essence.
- Transfer the mixture to the pan and bake in the oven at 130 °C for 20 to 30 minutes. After this time, remove the brownie from the oven and add chocolate chips to decorate so that they sit in the pan and don't melt as much. Then, we return it to the oven for an additional 5 minutes and lower the flame.
- Finally, remove from the oven and leave to cool. Unmould and cut the brownie, and enjoy!
- This brownie has a dense, soft texture in the centre, a rich chocolate flavour and a crunchy layer on top. It is delicious and there are many variations that can include nuts or other additional ingredients. In this recipe, we've added chocolate chips for extra flavour and texture - a real treat!
