- Hello friends, happy day to all, Sunday arrived, the perfect day to relax and rest with the family, enjoy getting up without haste and immerse ourselves in movies curled up in bed and more when it rains, time lends itself, on this occasion, I want share with you a simple recipe that will provide healthy nutrients to our breakfast, some delicious torrejas of auyama (pumpkin) and carrot. This is an excellent option for breakfast and to avoid the arepa a bit, we Venezuelans love it and we are lovers of the traditional arepas at breakfast and dinner, but here at home on Sundays I try to change and vary our options trying to prioritize nutritious dishes, since we all know that the first meal of the day is vital for our well-being, that's why I show you the ingredients and the step by step of this delicious recipe full of energy and flavor.
Ingredients, we will need 🎃🥕
- 30 grams of auyama (pumpkin) 🎃
- 1 carrot carrot 🥕 grated
- 1 egg
- 5 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
- Oil to grease the budare
- Enough water
- Cinnamon stick
To spray:
- Ground cinnamon to taste
- Sugar to taste

We begin by washing the auyama (pumpkin) thoroughly with plenty of water. Then, we proceed to cut it into small squares, which will facilitate its cooking.
In a small pot, we place water and add the pieces of auyama (pumpkin). Then, we add a cinnamon stick and a little vanilla essence. Let the mixture cook over high heat.

- Meanwhile, we wash, remove the skin and grate the carrot. We booked.
