The family is the basis of everything in our lives. A well-structured family can make all the difference, especially for children, as they will feel more secure and loved, consequently they will be adults with better future expectations and probably won't have psychological traumas.
Can you imagine being brought up in a family, whether it's well structured or not, and then finding out many years later that you're not their biological child? When I was a child, my siblings and I would sometimes play tricks on each other, and it was usually my younger brother who got the worst of it, because we would joke that he had been swapped in the maternity ward or had been adopted.
My younger brother's reaction was the worst possible, to the point of tears. Because in his mind he would be treated differently because he wasn't a legitimate child, he wouldn't have the same love as his parents. Another thing I remember him saying when he was crying was who would be his biological mother and father?
It's a big emotional shock for a child to learn that they have no blood ties to their family. But when you're an adult and the discovery that you're not a legitimate child comes after many years, how do you react?
First of all, this depends on several factors, the first of which is whether the adopted child still lives with their parents, because if they have married or moved away from home, the family ties are fewer and consequently the emotional effects will be less.
There are children who are more attached to their parents and want to see their parents well, while others don't give a damn about their parents, they just want to benefit from the comfort and financial protection that their parents offer.
In the neighborhood where I live, I know an old couple who didn't have children, but adopted one when they were young. This couple has the greatest love for their adopted son and the opposite is also true. Their son followed a career in the military, so he spent a large part of his life away from his adoptive parents, but he never stopped having contact with them and always helped them in any way he could.
Nowadays, age has come for this old couple and they receive all the care they can from their adopted son. He doesn't live with them, but makes a point of paying someone to look after them and always visits his parents. I've seen them in person and it's beautiful to see the love that the son and the parents have for each other.
He's even invited them to live in his apartment, but you know how old people are, they prefer to live in their own home. Seeing all this, you can see that he takes better care of his parents than many legitimate children.
There are many cases of children who give their parents a hard time, even when they've grown up they get into trouble and the parents have to sort it out. I've also seen legitimate children abandon their parents when they need them most, in old age and illness.
Looking at these two cases, you can see that the issue of being an adopted child is complicated, and I discovered this too late. People are unique and each person has a different reaction. I'm not an adopted child myself, but if I found out I was one after I got married, maybe I wouldn't feel so much.
Maybe I'd complain that my sister is my parents' favorite child and that would only increase my suspicions, because there's a strong reason for that. But even that wouldn't influence the love I feel for my parents.
In reality, what really matters is the love we feel for our parents and family, regardless of blood ties. Love, respect and unity are important feelings at the base of any family.

A família é a base de tudo em nossas vidas, uma família bem estruturada pode fazer a diferença, principalmente para as crianças, pois elas se sentirão mais seguras e amadas, consequentemente serão adultos com melhores expectativas de futuros e provavelmente não terão traumas psicológicos.
Já pensou ser criado em uma família, seja ela com uma boa estrutura ou não, e depois de muitos anos descobri que você não é filho biológico? Quando eu era criança, eu e meus irmãos as vezes ficávamos pegando peças uns nos outros, geralmente que se dava mal era meu irmão mais novo, pois brincávamos que ele foi trocado na maternidade ou era adotado.
A reação do meu irmão mais novo era a pior possível, até chegar ao ponto de chorar. Pois na cabeça dele ele seria tratado de forma diferente por não ser filho legitimo, não teria o mesmo amor dos pais. Outra coisa que lembro que ele dizia quando estava chorando era quem seria sua mãe e seu pai biológico?
Para uma criança é um grande choque emocional saber que não tem lanços sanguíneos com a família. Mas, quando se é adulto e a descoberta que não é filho legitimo vem depois de muitos anos qual será a reação?
Primeira isso depende de vários fatores, o primeiro deles é se o filho adotado ainda mora com os pais, pois se ele casou ou foi morar fora de casa, as ligações familiares são menores, consequentemente os efeitos emocionais serão menores.
E também porque pessoas de vários tipos, há filhos que são mais ligados aos pais e querem ver seus pais bem, já outros não dão a menor importâncias a seus pais, só querem se beneficiar do conforto e da proteção financeira que os pais oferecem.
No bairro onde moro conheço um casal de velhinhos que não tiveram filhos, mas adotaram um quando jovens. Esse casal tem o maior amor pelo seu filho adotado e o contrário também é verdade. Seu filho seguiu carreira militar, por isso uma grande fase de sua vida esteve longe de seus pais adotivos, mas nunca parou de ter contato com eles e sempre os ajudava no que podia.
Atualmente, a idade chegou para esse casal de velhinhos e eles recebem todos os cuidados possíveis de seu filho adotivo. Ele não mora com eles, mas faz questão de pagar alguém para cuidar deles e sempre faz visitas a seus pais. Eu já os vi pessoalmente e é bonito de ver o amor que o filho e os pais têm entre si.
Ele até já os convidou para morar em seu apartamento, mas sabe como idosos são, eles preferem viver na casa deles. Vendo tudo isso, é possível ver que ele cuida melhor de seus pais do que muitos filhos legítimos.
Há vários casos de filhos que dão bastante trabalho a seus pais, mesmo depois de adultos se envolvem em confusão e é preciso que os país resolvam a situação. Também já vi caso dos filhos legítimos abandonarem seus pais na hora que mais precisam, na velhice e na doença.
Analisando esses dois casos é possível perceber que é complicado essa questão de ser um filho adotivo e descobri isso tarde demais. Pois, as pessoas são únicas e cada um tem uma reação diferente. Eu mesmo não sou filho adotivo, mas se descobrisse que sou um depois de ter casado talvez não sentiria muito.
Talvez, eu reclamasse que minha irmã é a filha preferida de meus pais e isso só aumentaria minhas suspeitas, pois há uma razão forte para isso. Mas mesmo assim esse fato não influenciaria o amor que sinto pelos meus pais.
Na realidade, o que importa mesmo é amor que sentimos por nossos pais e famíliares, independentes dos laços de sanguineos. O amor, o respeito e a união são sentimentos importantes na base de qualquer família.
