Lately I’ve been trying to understand finance more deeply, not just the basic savings and spending stuff, but how money really works and how it affects our lives daily. I use to think finance was only for those in suit and tie or people that studied banking and finance in school, but now I realise it’s something all of us need to know, especially we young people trying to build a future in this crazy economy.
The world is changing fast, and money is not just paper again. We now have digital money, online payments, and even crypto like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Before I didn’t even believe in crypto, I use to think it's just scam or something only rich people do. But since I joined Hive blockchain and started using crypto like HBD and Hive, my mindset changed.
I won’t lie, Hive is the first crypto platform I joined that made real sense to me. You write, you share, you engage, and you earn crypto. At first I was just happy with earning something small from my posts, but with time I started checking the value of HBD in dollar and I was shocked. That’s when I began to see the potential in crypto as a whole. It’s like your knowledge and creativity turns into digital money you can actually use or save.
One thing I’ve also learnt recently is the importance of saving. Before now, whenever I get money, I just want to use it fast – buy data, food, small enjoyment here and there. But truth is, if we don’t save, we are only working for the now and not for tomorrow. I’ve started keeping some of my Hive earnings in my savings wallet and it feels good to know that at least I have something small kept somewhere.
Also, I noticed something funny. When I was not earning crypto, I didn’t use to value 1 dollar like that. But now, because I know the effort I put in to get maybe 1 HBD or 2 HBD from a post, I value it more. I think crypto teaches discipline in a way. And if you’re someone who write and learn everyday on Hive, you are already doing what some people go to paid seminars for. It’s just that we don’t always realise how much we are learning.
Another thing I want to talk about is budgeting. I’m not perfect at it yet but I’ve started doing small budgets, like if I get 5 HBD, I will use 1 for data, 2 for savings, and maybe 2 for helping out at home or supporting someone. Even if it’s small, it gives me some kind of control over my money. Before, I use to spend anyhow and then regret it when it finish.
I just want to encourage others, especially the ladies here on Hive, don’t wait until you have plenty money before you start learning how to manage it. Start with what you have, no matter how small. Crypto is not just for tech bros, we too can learn and benefit from it. Hive is a good place to start, because you’re not just making money, you’re building skills too.
So yeah, finance is not as hard as it looks. It starts with small small changes – saving more, spending less, learning about crypto, and using platforms like Hive in a smart way.
Thanks for reading if you got to this point. I’m still learning, but I just felt like sharing this with my Hive family today. If you have any tips or experience about money or crypto, please drop it in the comments, I’d love to learn from you too.
