My Bad and Good Purchase Experience
As far as buying and selling is concerned, one would not always be on the winning side, no matter how smart one is there must be days when you would purchase something that won't be worth your money.
The truth is most of the things I bought were actually purchased for me by others, I only send money and they get it for me. The majority of the time I get so lucky and fewer times I get disappointed. One of the things I bought and I really enjoyed its service, in fact, I am still enjoying it is my current phone.
Sometime last year, the phone I was using all of a sudden started misbehaving, just like that the screen would go white (blank) and then come back to normal again. As at that time, I changed the screen not long ago at the rate of 15,000 Naira and I didn't even enjoy it for up to a month and it was already having issues. So, I thought the best thing to do was to sell it out and get another one.
I looked for someone who could get the phone in that condition and I was lucky, I found someone, though I sold it a bit cheaper than expected. Then, I powered down on Hive added up to what I had on the ground, and spoke to my friend who resides in Jos to help me check for a good phone.
It was the Spark 10 Pro that was on my mind but my friend called and said he saw the Infinix Hot 30i and the price was fair and it's almost like Spark 10 Pro but he would verify and get back to me. The next day, he went to the shop and asked for the price and they told him it was 85,000 Naira. I love his bargaining power, he beat the price down to 78,000 Naira then he called me and I transferred the money to him.
The phone has been serving me so well, the battery is 5,000MAH, 4Glite, it has 128ROM, 4+4 RAM and it's Android version 12. The only problem I have with the phone is the back camera. It's too poor. But I don't even snap, my Major problem is the browsing speed and memory of which it has a fair one. I am seriously enjoying the phone. Even if I had bought it at 100,000 Naira, I think it is worth it.
One thing I bought and I wish I didn't buy at all was a bed sheet, I think I have spoken about it before. You know if you have money and you get something that isn't good it won't bother you but if it's your last card that you used to get it, it hurts.
I had only one bed sheet prior to that time, I got frustrated at the stress of washing the bed and waiting for it to dry before covering the bed. So, I decided to get one to add to the one I was having so that I could switch from time to time and wouldn't have to be washing frequently.
I had just 3,500 Naira in my account that day. I had to battle with my heart so much before I finally decided to enter the shop because that was the only money I was having and I was not sure I was going to get any money anytime soon again if should use it. After I convinced myself that it was a necessity and as such I needed to get it, I went in and got one.
After purchasing the bedsheet at the rate of 3,500 Naira, the exact money I was having, I returned home with joy because I loved the color and design of it. Only for me to spread it on my bed the next day and discover it was torn. I got so angry but calmed myself down and stitched it.
After using it for like two months, I discovered that it had already started showing signs of tearing again in other parts. As I am talking to you right now it's torn. I felt so bad, it was as if I wasted my money. There are just so many fake things in the market these days.
Lessons
Both experiences taught me that nothing is not predictable the fact that you put in so much to get something is not a guarantee that it will give you exactly what you expected. Be very smart but expect anything at any time.
