What Life Would Be For Me Without Social Media
Social Media is something I cherish so much. It's been like home for me over the years, I have found comfort, companionship, and even more from it. There is no single day of my life that I don't log in to social media.
I know that being on social platforms has affected my life both negatively and positively, if I am to weigh between the two I can't tell whether the advantage is more than the disadvantages or not.
Living without Social Media is going to be very difficult for someone like me. I have never imagined it happening. Not that I can't stay away for some time, I can do that but staying totally away from it is something that I don't think will ever happen.
I can't imagine a life without social media at all, it will just be like separating fish from the water in my case, it is not going to be easy at all. Nevertheless, if it so happens that I must stay without social media, a lot will be affected in my life.
My life is going to be more fruitful than it is, and my relationship with people physically will be strengthened. I will be focused on whatever I set my mind to do because there won't be any form of distraction anymore.
I know how many times, my activities on social media kept me from hitting targets, social media can so distract you that you will end up being a pro at procrastination. If I will stay away from social media, my life will take form, I will build myself well. I can see myself becoming a very good reader, I can see my life moving in line with my plans.
Above all, one of the most important things the absence of social media would grant to me is time. So far, I have not seen anything that consumes my time a lot like Facebook and WhatsApp. Sometimes I may say let me just log in to check some notifications briefly and log out but as soon as I log in, I will end up spending hours there, doing what does not even matter.
I have told myself many times that I would be disciplined concerning that but to date, it still happens, immediately I turn on my data and log into any social platforms, just know that hours would be burnt there.
If I was making money from some of them I wouldn't have been bothered but honestly, most times, It's just chatting that often profits nothing.
Nevertheless, let's also see the other side, if I fail to unite with people around me, considering my personality, I am doomed to suffer boredom, I will be like a blind man, as I will no longer have access to what's happening across the world. I know there are other ways to get in touch with current affairs but I am not someone who loves to dedicate his time to searching for news on Google and again I can't remember the last time I used my radio lol.
Considering all these things, living without social Media would affect my life both positively and negatively. I grow positively but I will still be limited in many ways.
