Vaccine is a biological preparation that helps the body develop immunity to fight against a specific disease. It majorly works by stimulating the immune system to recognize and fight off disease causing organisms like viruses and bacteria causing the illness itself. Vaccine has never been wrong back then and when a woman puts to birth she's encouraged to bring her child according to the dates given to her to come get her child vaccinated. I think the first one given to a child is BCG, bacillus calmette guerin to protect against tuberculosis TB. and till date I still have the mark on my left arm which I believe each and everyone of us have. Aside from that, there are other vaccines which our parents never get scared of us taking in fact sometimes we lie just to collect it twice especially when there is sweet or biscuit.
I remember those days where we were still much younger and collecting polio vaccines. A lot of times we do collect it in school because the world was still good and people still trusted not until we heard that fake practitioners visited a school, administered the vaccine to kids in school which led to break out of a particular illness. That was when trust was broken and everyone became skeptical about collecting vaccines. We were warned never to collect polio again by our parents because of fear which is good. Fast forward to that, all the vaccine we took was at the hospital and mostly given to us after thorough check ups. The last vaccine I took was at my dad's work place which is done for all staff children within a certain age to prevent sickness.
Now the craziest theory I have heard about vaccines was during the COVID 19 pandemic. Because of the fear of contacting the virus, over here, government hospitals were giving free vaccines which a lot of people went to take including the ones I know. My parents never consented to the idea so we stayed back at home. Not until we began to hear that the purpose of the vaccine was to eliminate more people because according to world health organizations that the world population is much and the only alternative to reduce humans is elimination through the administered vaccine to make them die a slow death allegedly. Till date, I don't know if I should believe if this is just a mere superstition believe or not because someone I knew who also took the vaccine said she used to be strong but ever since that day she has never been the same.
Nevertheless the benefit of vaccines cannot be overemphasized, but I will just say that before anyone takes any vaccines, it should be that there is a go ahead from the doctor if not do not take the risk.
