What I had passed through in the hands of employers made me determined never to work under anyone because I haven't been lucky working for people but I always try my best just to create a good impression.
Most places I had worked were like working under pressure, the last place I worked was just like hell before I determined not to work for anyone again. I believe in this adage that says if you fail to serve then you can not become a boss.
Though working with this boss opened my knowledge and learned a lot while working, this man is nonsense, he is never friendly at all, when talking about steen face, this man was the true definition of that, he will always frown, no laughing moment at all and this makes all the employee to always leave after a month of working with him.
Working as his assistant was a lot of hell for me, how can a man be that callous, we always traveled to defend contracts, and always pushed me to make proposals, I learned how to make proposals and how to defend contracts from him.
I never regret working with him because of the knowledge I acquired while working with him, he was the first person who booked a flight for me to go and defend a contract in another city, it was one of my bucket lists which I fulfilled through him.
Apart from being harsh to workers, there are no other things I could say about him that are bad, but as an employee working environment matters the most, if the working environment is never conducive then there is no point in working under unfavorable conditions.
Whenever we heard his car horn, we were always calm as river water, everyone would be fidgeting because we never knew what the problem would be for the day especially me who was working as his assistant.
This man doesn't know how to call someone without shouting and he loves to insult, this pattern made me hate working under someone, I do wake up with a heavy heart because my heart will always beat faster whenever I remember that I will be resuming work that morning.
To continue in this situation was so tiring that I had to leave without any prior notice, I left when I collected my salary for the month and never showed up again, he called me after two days of my absence from work which I explained to him that I would no longer be working with him.
He ranted and promised to sue me because I didn't follow the company policy by giving him three months notice before leaving, I apologized and hung up the call, this was what pushed me to learn a skill during that period because the experience I had was so brutal and promise myself never to work under such unfavorable environment again.
One thing I enjoyed while working in that company was free WiFi, all the staff had access to free WiFi which made the company more enjoyable for us, I used to download lots of movies then and no one would stop me but when I left the office I was unable to access the internet the way I used to because I had to off some of my data that runs from the background but it wasn't like that when I was working at the company, even my siblings and friends will send me lists of movies that they would love me to download for them but when I left the company not of such again.
I was happy I made the right decision by leaving the company because I would have been a shadow of myself if I hadn't left work to find peace, peace of mind is what can move a company not the type I experienced.
