Many things can get on my nerves anytime I am texting someone or when someone is texting me for the first time, the first thing that I detest most is texting me for the first time, some people will text you and say hi without completing their sentence and be waiting for you to respond before they would continue the conversation.
For example, I love it when a person texts me and says hi, my name is Daniel, I am texting to inform you about the program we are having next week and I hope you will be in attendance, that is very correct and minimal, this person is direct and knows what he is doing, unlike some other person's who will just say hi and it will take them forever to continue their conversation.
Secondly, I hate abbreviation of words, how would you be wishing me a happy birthday and sending Hbd to me, I do not like any of this at all, I always frown at anyone who sends such a text to me because it is so annoying for you to be wishing someone a happy birthday and shorten it, what is wrong in writing it in full and wish me well once and for all.
Some people are fond of using abbreviations that I will always need to search on Google or ask for the meaning, for example, WTF, IYKYK, and so on, it took me time before I got used to some of these abbreviations because what in God's name is all this nonsense, I do not appreciate the use of chronic abbreviations when you are texting me because I don't do that to others too.
Though at first, I loved to use abbreviation very well but it got to a stage where I am now addicted to it and I realized that it was affecting me, I couldn't remember simple sentences anymore because I am used to abbreviating words, and this affected me when I was writing exams in school, whenever I want to write (before) I ended up writing (b4) and I will not realize until I finish the exam and go through my work before submitting it, that is when I will be seeing them and how I have messed up, I would start to cancel some of it and write them in full rather than leaving it like that and score zero because some lecturer can be so mean and they will never correct it for me.
I decided to stop due to the effects it having on me, I was in the exam hall and I couldn't remember how to spell (at) all I could remember was @ because I am used to the word and I see no problem in using it until I started asking my seatmate how to spell at in the exam hall, these had a negative impact on me so I decided to stop and learn how to text in full rather than abbreviating words.
I love it when someone communicates with me in proper English and is forward in his or her request rather than waiting for me to respond before continuing the conversation.
Lastly, is the use of emojis, some creatures can be so annoying, they always have emojis for every conversation, talking to someone and replying to me back with an emoji can provoke me, I do not fancy too much the use of emojis especially when we are in the middle of serious conversation, some people will just send some annoying emojis which can kill my morale to continue the conversation.

There is time for everything and all these are my dos and don't when it comes to communicating via texting, I can only appreciate abbreviations when it is a normal phone text message and there will be changes but I do not appreciate using abbreviations any of my social media
