Greetings to everyone on this platform and I'm so excited to bring forth my entry. Before I proceed, I want to appreciate the management for their wonderful work and quality delivery of all the edition of post we have. It's been an amazing moment and for this edition it's good. I never knew I would be able to drop my entry because since morning the atmosphere has not been ok for me. I was almost discouraged but thank God I have been restored now. I just hope my perspective would align to the subject we have at hand.
History easily repeats itself if one doesn't learn or pay attention to other details. It's quite unfortunate considering the time we are in now where history is about to repeat itself . I remembered my days far then in secondary school, I offered lots of subjects especially when I was in the senior class one of them was actually history where I learned about the past present and the future. History is vital in every one's life but sometimes we aren't serious and don't pay deep attention to it therefore as life continues we begin to see decline in many things.
As I earlier stated history combines three vital things past, present and future. There are lots of things that happened before which it supposed to be an example so that we could redefine today to have a better tomorrow. There are certain displays I see today that didn't actually begin now but is a function of what has been done before. There are about two or three things that I would like to share if care is not taken could repeat itself in the present world.
My parents had no privilege to go through the conventional school that we haven't today. For instance my mother managed to attend evening adult class in one of our native languages called Hausa. She never knew about anything until she was exposed to simple fundamental alphabets, vowels, consonants amongst several others. She was so opened, broken and teachable and today she tried her best to be where she is. She learned in the hard way.
Trying to compare this system of learning to what is happening today there is a decline in the whole process. There's no passion in our pursuit of academics today. The teachability heart is grossly fading in the present world.
Before the coming of missionary and colonial Masters, my father told me that they were traditional worshipers. They were devoted and committed to what they believed and it worked out for them even though Most of them worked in ignorance. The level of knowledge then wasn't as high as what we have now. Despite the advancement in knowledge yet there are people whose mindset is still primitive and adamant to any form of change.
One of the things that can be done to avoid the repeat of primitive way of life is for government to also help by providing essential amenities to communities and society at large. People need orientation and the school should also be deliberate in ensuring that they engage students in mind brainstorming sessions.
Our failures should be a spring board for learning and how to be better and not to keep repeating itself.
