Week 23 edition 1 comes with another reality show which entails sharing a story.
What is a story?
A story could be a tale, past event, a recitation or sharing of past event by an individual. There are different kinds of stories depending on what is to be shared however the bottom line is that a story is a story.
My story
I would like to share my story out several other stories with you guys of what I know about a guy.
This guy happens to be one of my bosom and great encourager in this life's journey since our paths crossed each other.
The name of this wonder chap is called Abims. He hail from avery poor family background not just only that I doubt whether his village is even traceable on the google map.
The father is a peasant farmer where every he does circumnavigate within the shores of farm for both the survival of the family and commercial purposes. That kept continuing year in and year out.
This my guy had a vision one day this thing must not continue like this. He said his destiny would not end within the corridors of his village because he sees himself as a man of international reputation therefore he started bracing himself up to ensure the reality of that vision.
It all started by taking a bold step and enrolled for the primary school studies where he obtained his first leaving school certificate from the village and immediately proceeded to secondary school in that same village where he spent six years of study. At the end, he produced one of the best results in science which made Him to begin to gain some recognition even from the locals.
He was so passionate of studying medicine and surgery at the tertiary institution but unfortunately after sitting for JAMB he was not offered that course but rather a similar course which has an inclination to medicine.
This my guy gladly accepted the admission to study a four year course in faculty of natural and Applied science. Ladies and gentlemen, that was a great opportunity for my friend to step out of his village hmmmm vision have started becoming a reality.
Finally he landed at the University as God will have registered for the first session. You know one thing is to gain admission another thing is providing the school fees. This almost took my guy off track however he was highly optimistic and geared up. He goes out to farm at intervals and most at times when he's done with a semester so that he could sought out his basic need. School could sometimes be frustrating when you are the providing everything for your self.
Like a blink of an eye he's already in four hundred level which is the final stage, God really proved himself faithful and he cleared all his school fees suddenly he's done with his first degree and proceeded for compulsory one year service.
After service, he refused to return home because if he did, the destiny would have been shattered so he kept himself busy with some menial jobs in the city as well as farming.
He later applied to continue with studies in master's degree level. Within a little sphere of time, he graduated yet he couldn't secure a better offer from neither private or government organisations. Out of resilience and flare to ensure destiny fulfilled he applied for PhD and was given admission. What a speed this guy moved with.
As if he was playing and joking hmmm behold he's a PhD holder out of nothing.
The story never ended there oooo, he started applying for more jobs offers again n schools for lecturing etc.
Determination leads to an undeniable success. Along the way he got married and blessed with the fruit of the womb. God later provided a private job while he stills runs his underground businesses.
As I type this, he has empowered a lot of youth from his community especially those who are determined to school. And today some of them are gainfully employed in government hallelujah!!!
LESSONS
This wasn't a mere story but also life challenging and transforming. Among what I learnt include;
- To fulfill destiny, it begins with first vision or dream. Have a vision please it's the blueprint for your life journey.
- The journey of life begins with a step at a time. He stepped out and sprung up.
- Never you allow your background to determine your ground of destiny.
- I have learnt to be optimistic and believe in my dreams.
- No excuse in pursuance of destiny. Be determined.
- Never you wait for all factors to be in order before you take a step if you want to be fulfilled in destiny.
- Always make efforts to have residual source of income.
- Have a planned schedule and scale of preference
- Don't live for yourself alone but ensure that you affect other people's lives on your way to destiny.
- You're the saviour of your family therefore don't live your life carelessly.
- Don't be too anxious to be rich follow the law of due process.
FINALLY
I want to believe that this true life story of my friend added value and pause a challenge for your life. If it does kindly take out the bold step today being Monday and move in the right direction. Destiny can be delayed but never can it be denied. Therefore be strong and courageous, start the day and the week with confidence. You're destined for greatness. Your background should not be a limiting factor and yardstick not to forge ahead.
Some stories are actually destiny and life changers I hope your spirit is stirred to do more.
