Personally, I believe reincarnation is one of those superstitions related to some cultures, religions,, and tribes. For instance, my culture has a way of saying one person who died has come back to life through another person that's how they said I came back through my late sister🥺 These are the things we see in movies, especially the ghosting part where a dead will migrate to another place to live, some will even marry and have kids before the whole story will come to limelight.
There was a house we once lived in at school when the landlord died, and they buried him in the house. The man gave us a tough time, it was a whole lot. We lived in fear for a week before the one man came to our rescue. How did it happen? Mr landlord used to disturb the whole at night; he would scatter the kitchen and make everywhere scary for living. Nobody dared to wake up at night to use the toilet because the house was a face-to-face apartment. Our neighbor came to our rescue by making findings. The ghost of the landlord refused to sleep until all the students packed off the house🤔
I have come across people who believe reincarnation is possible; they tend to name the reincarnated person after the deceased one and give other respectful regards, especially if the deceased one was a respected being; like what I said earlier, I was named my late sister's name because they said I looked like her. I don't want to believe that🤥 Who has gone has finally gone except Jesus Christ who died and rose again. My belief!
While science hasn't proved it, many people believe that being born again in a different body is a natural thing. For instance, in Yoruba, children who are born immediately or days after an elderly person dies are named after the deceased person. Gender, religion, and status are some things considered when naming these children. Names like Iyabo(Mother has arrived), Babatunde(Father has come again), Yetunde (Mother has come again), Ekundayo(My tears have turned to joy), and so many more are given to children who are born under this circumstance.
Personally, I don't know anyone who has supposedly reincarnated, and I still find it mysterious how some children claim to have been somewhere they've never been to or say some things known only by a late person, and some children have the attribute. This may contribute to the many reasons why some people believe reincarnation is true.
I see reincarnation as one of those superstitions and don't take things related to it seriously. I believe some people choose to believe in reincarnation to feel less pain after losing a close one. The only person I believe died and lived again is Jesus Christ.
Do you believe in reincarnation?
