Hello guys, welcome to my blog, this is the 6th task for the #Newbieinitiative organized for we newbies. It has been a learning spree for these past 6 weeks, I've learned so much during this short period of time than I have learned since I joined Hive and I recommend this initiative for every newbie out there who is still trying to find their footing on Hive.
Now back to the task of the day, now sit back and enjoy this jolly ride as I take you through some efficient tools for tracking your growth here on the Hive blockchain as we were taught by @olujay in the last tutorial session.
List out tools that you know that can be used to track and monitor information about your Hive account. Tell us about them and what they are used for.
Here are some tools that can be used for tracking and monitoring your progress or growth here on Hive.
Hivebuzz
I am sure even the newest of newbies must have had encounters with Hivebuzz, Buzzy always giving you updates on every milestone you achieve.
These updates usually come in the comment section of your post, I remember when I first got onboarded and wasn't really getting comments on my posts but Hivebuzz was always there keeping tabs on how far I've progressed and dropping some encouraging comments as well, so yeah that's what Hivebuzz does. Hivebuzz also rewards badges for activities done, milestones achieved, or even events attended.
You can also access most of the information provided by Hivebuzz by visiting https://hivebuzz.me/ and inputting your username to get your information and progress.
Hivetasks
This is another tool that helps us track and monitor our progress and activities on Hive. You can check your dashboard, you can change your password, and even generate your keys, so there's a whole lot you can do with Hivetasks, you can visit it via https://hivetasks.com/ and input your username and private posting key to get access.
Hivestats
This is also another important tool you can use to track and monitor your progress on Hive. It gives you an accurate run down or summary of everything that has to do with your reputation, HP, daily rewards, weekly rewards, and even your followers. In fact, it gives you a summary of all of your specific activities on Hive that you might not be able to see on other DApps like Peakd, Inleo, Eccency, etc. You can check it out here https://hivestats.io/.
Check out your profile information on Hivestats and explain the different stats shown about your account on the site.
From the above screenshot, there's really no difference between my effective HP and HP, since I haven't been given or received any HP (delegation). So my influence on my voting is based on my 274HP.
It also shows the value of my vote which is presently 0.01Hive. It also shows the percentage of my voting power, which was full at the time this screenshot was taken. It also shows Hiveans who are following me and my followers as well and, the number of posts and comments I have made which are just represented as posts, of which mine is 1674.
Find the lazy-panda curation trail and follow it. Customise the trail according to weight, method, and wait time as desired. If you choose, enable the trail and share screenshots on the process.
Belonging to a curation trail simply means when the said curation trail curates any post on Hive, automatically you'll be among them.
To find the lazy-panda curation trail, You have to input Hive.vote on your browser. You have to log in with Hivesigner before you will be able to access the page.
I clicked on the curation trail and searched for Lazy-Panda to be able to follow.
To be able to customize my voting weight, method, and wait time, I clicked on setting and I was able to do that, then I saved it.
Configure and set up F.R.I.D.A.Y. to give you notifications. Provide a step-by-step explanation with screenshots
To use F.R.I.D.A.Y. you have to be on Discord. With this F.R.I.D.A.Y bot, you can be able to receive notifications from your hive account on Discord.
I first clicked on the invite link that was given to me to be able to access the platform, then I used the command '/register' to register. Then I followed the steps as shown below:
After registering, I used the command '/setting' to set up to enable me get notifications even without being on Peakd or Eccency.

I want to use this opportunity to appreciate my partner @graat. We were paired for the last task, I got to learn that his full name was Okereke Gratitude and that he's from Imo state but he currently resides in Enugu. He's also medical student, apparently he's almost done, the newbie initiative gave me a potential doctor heheš
We had a nice time, we talked about ourselves, our families, our goals, and our motivations, he talked about how he had a passion for improving the health sector in Nigeria.
I figured out that he hadn't been active online (Hive in particular) for some time, so I had to ask him about it, and he told me he had been sick for a while but was getting better, and I wished him a speedy recovery. We had s swell time getting to know each other, he is an awesome partner, thanks @graat for being my partner.
