Hello everyone, welcome to another episode of Creative Sunday with George Dee.
I haven't participated in the last two Sundays, due to some funny reasons. My cameraman has gone on a holiday but I have a solution now, I am not always contented with just pictures.
Today's meal is simple and very easy to prepare, it is a regular food we eat at home but I am doing it differently because it is Creative Sunday. I observe that bringing creativity to our meals boosts our appetite and it is one of the easiest ways to get a kid to eat.
I am a picky eater and a foodie at the same time, I love my meal looking sexy. Fried yam is one of my favorite snacks, I love it with egg or fried stew, it is a very tasty meal and I always enjoy it from time to time.
I remember having a guest at my place a few months ago, the little angel doesn't like eating egg yolk. I don't know why but one of my brothers used to be like that as well but he is changed now.
Instead of boiling the egg for her noodles, I broke it into a shaped container, mixed it, add sauce, and boiled it. She was excited about it because it was shaped, she was cutting it into other shapes until she finished the meal.
This idea has always made me think of how to bring some fun to meals and it's really cool.
I will be preparing fried yam and egg but not the usual way, let's get started.
Recipes.
Yam
Chili pepper
Seasoning
Crayfish
Groundnut oil
Onions.
Process...
Cut the yam into small pieces, it should be small enough to fry in small oil.
Break the egg into the container, add your sauce, the chili powder or pepper and stir it until it is mixed together.
Heat your oil, it mustn't be too hot to avoid the yam burning before it is properly fried for consumption.
Pour the small pieces of yam into the hot oil and let it fry for about two minutes.
Add your sliced onions into the hot oil while the yam is frying and allow it to fry a bit under low temperature.
Turn the egg into the hot oil as well, you can make it scrambled or just allow it to fry and take your pan shape.
If you are leaving it to fry as a whole, make sure you flip to ensure both sides of the egg are fried properly.
It is simple and short like I said earlier, I hope you enjoy reading the post and watching the video as well.
This can be prepared in less than 15 minutes depending on the quantity you are frying, it can be used for breakfast. I don't eat eggs at night because it causes me indigestion but if it is good for you then you can have it at any time of the day.
The meal is balanced, you have all the classes of food in it. You can make it crispy or soft if you like and the quantity of oil will determine the outcome of the meal but whichever way you prepare it will give you the 100% satisfaction as long as you follow the right procedure.
Happy Sunday everyone.
