When I decided to start posting on Hive daily for a week, it felt like a doable challenge, a way to build consistency, share parts of my day, and stay connected with the communities I was just starting to enjoy.
I made it to 4 out of 7 days before something I hadnāt fully understood stopped me in my tracks: Resource Credits (RC)š.
As someone still new here, I didnāt realize how fast posting, commenting, and engaging could drain your RC when your account is still small.
Honestly, by day 3, I already noticed I couldnāt engage with full energy. I had to cut back on replies and community interaction which kind of defeated the purpose of the challenge for me. I didnāt just want to post for the sake of it I wanted to connect.
But even in those first few days, Iāve had the chance to make genuine connections. Some people took time to read, comment, and share kind words, and thatās honestly been the highlight of this experience so far. It reminded me that Hive isnāt just about earning itās about belonging.
Still, Iāve hit the wall. And itās okay.
Hive reminded me, in its own way, that growth here isnāt just about activity; itās about building gradually and sustainably. And thereās something reassuring about that. A platform where pacing matters, where small consistent steps lead to stronger footing over time? Thatās worth sticking around for.
So this post isnāt me giving up. Itās just a pause.
My last post at least until I have my full RC again and can fully show up. I will still re attempt this challenge, of course when my account is big and strong enough.
If youāve ever started something here and hit a wall, youāll probably understand.
And if youāve been around long enough to have seen it happen many times thank you for making this a space thatās still welcoming to new voices.
See you again soon with full RC and even fuller intention ā”š
