Welcome to my blog
I glad to participate in the 2nd Edition of Week 14 of the @hivelearners prompt.
Before i got admission into the higher institution, i have always felt reluctant to learn a skill or do business because my parents were there and always provided for me.
In my year 1, they were still providing until my parents retired from their jobs and things weren't easy as before.
Plus the current state of the country, things were expensive and cost of living became hard.
At that time in school, i could barely have what to eat. It was really a tough time.
Those times also taught me to be contented, patient and hardworking.
It also revealed who my real friends were, because i lost many friends because i didn't have money at that moment.
Because i didn't have doesn't mean i will go against my parents training or do some bad things that would give me money.
Sincerely i was tempted to, but i just kept praying and hoping things changes.
My mindset changed that working or hustling is not only meant for men.
I decided to take my cooking skill serious and also look for more ways to create more income to assist myself. Luckily i was introduced to hive.
Those times were really great lessons that made me have an independent woman mindset. I do not have to wait for a man or my parents for financial help.
It made me a strong woman too, that no matter what life throws at me, it will surely pass no matter how long.
I saw those moments as God teaching me lessons of life.
God made it possible and all those things are now things in the past. I can boldly say it changed me for good and my present is more better than my past.
