I guess many of us do not like the place like Hospital or clinics, no doubt the working professionals in this field likes it as this is bread and butter for them. Every one has their own reason or excuses that way they do not like to place. Majority of dislike because of the medicine and disinfect smell and many always fear that if they will visit the doctor for even regular check then for sure the doctor will give them surprise after the examination so its better to be unknown to such surprises. No doubt this is not a good idea as early detection of the many deceases make it easy to cure and took less effort in terms of medicine need to be taken and also do less damage to the body also. I am also come in the category which do not prefer the regular checkup or body examination on regular basis. I only visit the hospital or doctor when my body give the signal and I fall sick.
I am clearly remember my last visit to the hospital as it was very panful. I know form past years that I have renal calculi or in simple language stone in my both the kidneys. I come to know about the same few yeas back when first time it start the pain in the lower abdomen. It was morning time I workup because of the pain. I called the taxi and asked my wife to took me to the hospital as the pain was getting worst. This was my first experience of pain because of the kidney stone. After investigation and scan the doctor declarer that the reason for the pain was a little stone only which was trying to come out or shifted their position. I know the major reason was the very little consumption of water. Their was some days when I hardly drink 1 litter of water in the whole day. That was 1/4 of the quantity which is normally required and the less water intake is the very first and major reason for he renal calculi. I decided to increased my water intake after the incident but the that was also for few months and afterwards the habit was same i.e. one litter of water per day.
Lets come back to the recent incident, I was traveling by air when I feel the heaviness in my lower abdomen and star feeling the sensation of pain. I was in the mid air at that time and the only hope was the emergency pain killer I was carrying. Actually after the second incident of pain I always kept the pain killer prescribed by the doctor in my medical kit and fortunately that kid was kept in my hand luggage only. It that was in the baggage which we given for the check-in the situation must be more dangerous. Without the pain killer it was very difficult to kept calm. At start I try to distract my mind by playing with my kid and looking out side the plan window. But it was ok for couple of minutes but when the pain intensity was increased it become ore difficult. At the that moment I decided to take the medicine as their was no other option was available. The moment I taken the medicine I start feeling that the pain was also getting faded even I told the air hoister also that I am ok now. When I de-board the plan I was feeling much better and asked my wife to book cab for the home as I will go to the hospital afterwards, But to my surprise the pain started again the moment I sit in the cab and started the journey to the home. I asked my wife to take me to the hospital as the pain was started heavily. The cab driver also understood the situation and dropped us to the emergency section of the hospital. I explained the situation to the staff and they immediately started the process. They provide the pain killer though the IV. I was in the emergency for more then hour time. The IV was effective and they discharge me on same day.
