Dear Hive Friend and Hive Learner Members,
One important task in our daily activity we missing everyday is physical activity. In today's life we are too much involved in other activities and running behind the money that we less focused on our health. Health is wealth and we all know it very well but also ignoring it very well. Most of us working in corporates are mostly has the sitting job. During the working hours most of the time we sticked to our working PC and chair. This habbit reduces our physical movement and which leads to many complications in our health. If I talked about my self we have eight hour working and I am also mostly sitting on chair but two intermediate breaks allows us to give some movement to the our body.
Diabetes is one major decease which is rapidly expending his reach amoung us. Diabetic is a condition which results in too much sugar (glucose) level in blood. This is a chronic condition in which the syatem of body which processes the sugar (glucose) in blood get effected and not functioning properly and in worst condition not even working. Three are three stages- Type 2 Diabetic, which means the body is not able to process the sugar level in blood properly, Type 1 Diabetic - which is a condition in which body produces a little or no insulin, pre-diabetic - which is a condition in which the sugar level in blood is high but not at such level that it declared as type 2 diabetic.
In case of diabetic condition the blood does not able to carry the glucose to the cells and which effects the eye, kidneys and heart badly.
Is there any cure for this decease?
There is not cure for diabetes and their is no medicine which will be able to get rid of it. It can be controlled ro even can be reversed in most people. There are cases in which theedications is not required or necessary and the sugar level can be at manageable levels and that can be achieved by maintaining a routine of exercise and diet.
I will my story, two years back I gone though full body checkup and after that I come to know that my sugar level are at edge. The doctor give a signal to control it otherwise I will become a diabetic. This was an alarming situation for me. In which situation the first thing comes into mind is to reduce the sugar intake. I also asked the doctor - What should I intake to reduce the sugar level or but should I avoid to reduce the sugar level.
The doctor very politely reply to me - Their is nothing will help you much by changing the food habbit. What he wants to convey is that by taking some special food I can not control the sugar level in my body, it is not effective way. He suggest me to increase the physical movement as much as I can. He advice for walk atlases half an hour daily to start with. The physical activity isn't as per him and yes reduction in sugar rich items in food also help. I again asked doctor that normally people advice to replace the sugar intake with jaggery. Is it effective, he reply was not much positive about with view also. He relly sugar is sugar, you consume in any form its harmful in excess quantity.
I am found of tea and when I say tea it means milk tea with sugar. My day starts with the one cup of tea and them two cup during office timing and one cup in the evening when I come back home for office. That means four cup of tea (containing the sugar) were the normal numbers it can increase also some days. Like if some meeting in the office then also I have extra cup of tea during the meeting. After the doctor advice I started the walk and try to do it in the morning or if missed in morning then in evening. This routine is easy to follow if I am at home but in case of the official tour it become difficult because of the time constraints. Any way I started avoiding the Tea also and skipped the afternoon tea. And for rest of the day reduced the sugar in tea to almost zero. In this way I increased the physical activity which is walk and then reduced the direct sugar intake in tea. Form that day onwards I always keep myself away for sweets and specifically Indian sweets (rich in sugar content) and chocolates.
