Gurseerrt my kid is the greatest gift to me and I always thankful to God. Children are the reason of joy and fun in every rents life. We parents always feel good when they are around us. Its our duty to teach them the moral values, guide them when they need the guidance, support them when they need it, show them respect so they they also respect others. All these are important as they follow all this during heir entire life. No doubt the children are the mots curious creature of the god and its also true that they are like a clean slate and you can write anything on this clean slate and they will follow the same for their entire life.
We all parents love the idea that our parents follow us and we also raised them with the moral values and other activities in such way that feel comfortable and be with us within our community. But this is not always a perfect plan as some time the child do not to be in the same lifestyle and decide to switch to a different way of life from the one we brought them up in. What will be your reaction if your kid want to switch to a different religion or culture. Of course this must be a very tough situation, for me this is very very tough. As a parent of a child we always want that our kid follow us and our guidelines till the end of life. The main reason behind this is the way we think or believe that the way we decided for them is the best for them. At first and mostly it looks good and ideal situation, however this is not the case always. Their are some cases where kids chose the different path for hem, here the path means they may be follow the other religion or live a different life. This is one of the hard situation for any parent to observe. If I have to face such problem then the first reaction will be surprised as this will make me think that what is or are the reason which make my kids to think so. Is their any solid reason behind this action or he is influence by someone. In some cases I have seen that the adult child take such steps when they are in love with some one who is form other religion or culture. If this will be the case my first step will be to cross check the background of the counter part and also check the family. I also will talk with my kid and try to make him understand and discuss the reason behind their action. I guess if the the other family is reupdated and well then there will be no reason to not accept his / her decision.
In the process of growing the kids are very excited and aggressive in nature. They likely to be react on many thing when we try to appose them, its like they feel that we still think they are little kid. Kids want to be out form this mindset and always want to be make their decision by own. At one point this is very good but then it comes to some decision which has major impact on their life they must be consult the same with elders or the elders must intervene in such cases. We must respect they decisions but we also has responsibility to guide them the right way.
