Hello hive learners, how are you doing today? The first post I read this morning was @vikoly post and that was very awesome of him. He started at tender age in church and became the coordinator; that is one thing about skills, the more you practice your skills the more you get to the insight. That was the reason he was able to join while he was in the NYSC.
This is the reason as an individual, the skill you develop is the skill that will take you higher in life. This remind me of my friend who was very Good in playing drum set to his church; when I was a kid, we always walked together. Even when there was no church program, he would go to church and practice.
After a year when the man that was drumming for church traveled out of the town; my friend was the one drumming for the church.
He was so young; we were in basic 4 (elementary school) when he started drumming. He drums until we passed out from secondary school; he was so good to the extent that he was invited on different occasions to drum for them.
He was invited by musicians in our vicinity to help them; and he was paid. My friend started earning money from playing a drum set at an early age. That was wonderful!
Today, his skill has taken him to another level; despite having his own job, he is still invited to play drums by different churches, musicians from one state to another.
I stopped walking with him because I have no interest in learning how to drum.
When I was in basic school, there was one subject I loved most which is mathematics; whenever I came back from school, my sibling used to teach me mathematics; and he taught me beyond what my teacher taught me in school. My foundation in mathematics was much better than other subjects.
When I took the placement examination to Basic 7 (junior secondary school one); I can’t remember my position but I was among the best students.
When I was in JSS1, I was the best mathematics student from JSS1A - JSS1D. Mathematics was my simplest subject; mathematics was very easy for me.
I continued to take the first from basic 7 till I wrote my final examination. All the mathematics teachers that taught me from JSS1 -SS3 loved me; that was the reason they allowed me to teach my classmate in the class, and also students at the lower classes.
Despite being one of the youngest students in the class, even students who were 5 or more years above me wanted to teach them math.
I could remember two of my friends sleeping in my house during our promotion examination to SS3 just to pass mathematics examination.
Well! I did not have good relationships with girls while I was in secondary school, I never knew that there were many girls cruising on me. This is because I did not understand the world ‘crushing’ in those days. Even when one of them told me that she loves me, I didn’t understand what she was saying.

Today, I am teaching mathematics in my place work; don’t get me wrong, I didn’t study mathematics; I studied public health.
When I was posted to the school, I realized that there was no mathematics teacher in the school; then, I decided to teach mathematics and basic science together.
Even the other teachers are learning mathematics from me.
My story cannot be completed without saying something about football. I have written articles about soccer; I have written featured weekly content about👉👉 how Christmas competition ended years of fighting and war, and also benefits of physical exercise.
I came from the town where children play football; Football is our best sport. Even the adults also participate in soccer in my town.
When I was 5, I saw my siblings and uncles with a ball and boots; This made me fall in love with football.
My father bought me a ball when I was a year and months. I did not know this story but my mum told me about it.
she said, "I don't allow anyone to touch my ball".
That was another factor that made me love football.
when I was 6, That was when I knew that my father bought a ball for me; but my mother said my father was buying football for me at a year and months.
I played ball with my age mates, learning different skills.
As I was growing up, I began to learn more skills. It got to a stage when I started playing football with people that are far older than me such as my uncles; when they started taking me to football training.
I was skillful and confidence which made my uncles to take me to football competitions; playing together and playing for the community at tender age.
I stopped playing football for a while because of the fracture I had; and when I got admission to a higher institution, I was afraid of injury. I did not join the school team but trained with my friends in the street.
Today, football is my major exercise; I’m Playing football to keep my body fit and that is the reason I joined local club in my present environment.

Since I was born, there are several things that have changed in life; some of the orientations and theories I learned about life have changed, some of the things people know about me have changed but there are things that haven’t changed in my life. My friends, family and Neighbours always told me the same things which is meekness and smiling.
I am calm and meek. If you don’t call my attention, I won’t say anything. I began to think why am I meek and calm? Then, I began to study the life of my parents, understood that my mother is very meek, calm, and peaceful.
Everyone around me knows about my calmness; one of my friends from primary school came to my house recently. He said, “your smiling and meekness haven’t changed. I remember when we were in secondary school, I was also very gentle like you but life circumstances made me changed. How I wish to be meek calm and smiling like you; I am easily getting angry now”.
I tend to smile😊😊 in some situations that may get someone annoyed. This is because I have that in my DNA; my mother smiles a lot.
She also taught me that, if you want to hide away your weakness from people, you need to smile when they expect you to get angry. It is also one of the ways to be happy in life; there are people that will come to your life to hurt you; smiling will keep you happy even though you are hurt. She told me I should keep smiling, it is a free gift that can cure many emotional problems🙋🙋🙋🙋.
Therefore, it is very hard for people to understand when I am not happy because I always smile. well!! But I like to react to children to let them know what they do is wrong when they do wrong things; if you smile at kids when they are wrong, they will think you support them even though they know that they are wrong.
When I traveled to my sister’s wedding last year in July, I invited some of my friends; I was told that my smile hasn’t change for a second.
In conclusion, if you want to be happy, keep smiling. Don’t allow whatever bad they did to you to stay longer in your heart. Just bear it in mind that we are all human beings; we will surely be tempted, accused and abused. To stay healthy from emotional assault/abuse, you must be smiling, ready to forgive and forget everything they have done against you without waiting for anyone apology.
I stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness. Success comes to the people who are desperately and consciously searching for it. When it seems unsuccessful or you smell failure around you, never discourage yourself to be successful.
