Hello hivers, how are you doing? I want to talk about my best teacher today and I would like everyone to read so that you can learn something from it.
When I was in secondary school, i had a teacher who loved me so much and his name was Mr. Abraham. Mr. Abraham was our biology teacher and he was the master of his subject. When I was about to choose my career, he said to me, “you need to study medicine because you are too good in science subjects, especially biology and chemistry”.
When I heard such words from him, I was motivated more to read my books, I was inspired to get more Knowlege from him. Though I was among the best students in the class but I wasn’t the best student. From That particular term he spoke to me, I became the best students in Mathematics, chemistry and biology. I wasn’t that good in English, my highest grade in English language was C6. I tried all my effort to get A or B in English language, at the end, I ended up of getting E a times. I wasn’t that good at all.
There are times, he called me to his office and told me a lot of things. He used to tell me stories about successful boys like my age, how they do exploit in various field of endeavors. Most of the stories he told motivated me to be like those boys of my age, and to do more exploit than them. I never knew that Mr. Abraham and my father had a good relationship; he always gave my father feedback of my performance in the school and instructed my father to get some textbooks for me.

I never knew that it was him that was advising my father to get me equipped in times of textbook, notebooks and extra lessons.
There was a day, I prepared as if I was going to school; but I didn’t reach the school that very day. I had a friend whom we attended the same school; instead of me going to school that very day, I branched in his house, and never reach school for that day.
After 4:00pm, exactly when we closed from school; I took my school uniform, wore it and headed back home. When I reached home, my father allowed me to eat my lunch, and called me to his sitting room. He asked me question that, “How was school today?” I answered him with joy that school was fine. He asked me, “how many subjects they taught in the school?” I said there was no lesson today because we are having a competition with another school in our school today.
If I told him there was a lesson, he would instruct me to bring my notebooks which would cause me problems. I never knew i was causing more problems for myself because Mr. Abraham called my father and asked him why I was not in the school. Therefore, he knew that I was not in school already. If I was aware of it, I would have told him a lie that would have made me escape the punishment.
the n the next day, while I was in class; I was called by my class teacher Mrs. Juliet, when I entered her office, I saw my father with her. I said to myself, ‘I am in trouble today’. My father asked Mrs. Juliet, “Was my son in school yesterday?”
She said “no”.
My father asked, “when I asked you yesterday, you told me that you were in the school yesterday; and your school is hosting competition with some schools?”

There was nothing I could say because I was caught red handed. He told my teacher to give me 6 lashes of cane, and also give me punishment of my life in the school.
As if that punishment was not enough, when I reached home, I entered the second phase of punishment.
I was disallowed from watching movies, going outside, and playing with my friends for a month; I was given bunches of assignments in school and at home. The rule is that I must submit the assignment the next day. There was no time for me to do anything than the assignments. Sometimes, I cried in my room because the assignment was so much. My math’s teacher gave me 20 mathematics assignments, my English teacher give me assignment to write letter, comprehension, and summary, my biology, physics and chemistry teachers gave me assignments also. It would have been better to use another method to punish me rather than those assignments.
That was how I promised myself that I would never do such things in my life and would never lie again.
When I was in a higher institution, Mr. Abraham became my tutor. Whenever I come home, I must visit Mr. Abraham; and he was telling me that “you need to look beyond school when I graduate, you need to find ways to survive in the labor market. If you graduate, you need to get something to do that would help my life. It is possible that you may not get white collar job in time, you need to find ways to earn a living, do not stay at home doing nothing. Whatever you know you can do, you need to start planning for it. There are more lives after school, plan for your future now; It is not bad to have your own business. Going to school doesn’t guarantee that you will become rich or get a job.”
That was the moment I realized that I needed to work hard and find many ways to become successful in life; realized that going to school doesn’t guarantee success in life. I realized that going to school was to acquire skills and knowledge that are beneficial to me in life.
I stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness. Success comes to the people who are desperately and consciously searching for it. When it seems unsuccessful or you smell failure around you, never discourage yourself to be successful.
