It feels so nice to be part of the contest today. Welcome to my blog friends. A whole lot of things can be addictive to someone.
Someone can be said to be addicted to a thing when it seems to run in his bloodstream. When you find yourself sleeping with a thing and waking up to it, you are addicted. When you cannot do without that thing, then I can say you are addicted.
The common addiction we use to hear about is drug addiction or you can say someone is addicted to smoking and drinking.
With the advent of technology comes addicts to technological matters.
Addiction is addiction no matter the way you view it. I remember those days when handsets came on board, we will sneak our mother's phones to go and play snake games. I remember one of those days luck ran out from my brother when he took the phone to the restroom to play the game, the phone entered the toilet, and the rest was a story. Do you know that that event did not make him stop touching our mother's phone?
Most times you wonder who used to teach children how to operate a phone.
Now coming to games that do pay their players if it is still an addiction. I will say addiction is an addiction no matter the way we view it. Just like someone who cannot give his family a good time because of office work, that's the same way someone that is addicted to games will behave. You are robbing your family Peter to pay Paul for online games.
The way out of this matter is to make a schedule for whatever one is doing. When I started playing the rising star game, I notice that I woke up even at night to play the game and the sound will always attract me, so my husband was not comfortable with the way I was going with it. The day he complained was the last day I can remember playing it. Not that I will not go back to play but I want to be sure that it will not eat me up or if I see it is becoming an addiction to me, I rather stop it.
