Humans need to take a break sometimes. The break is needed because we need to take a rest to restore our energy or boost our energy. It is applicable for health, but is it applicable for the achievements of life or in academic life?
I want to say that if it is beneficial to take a break, like a 1-year gap from continuous achievement or from academic study? Do you think it's a good decision even if it is taken to improve skills? To give a direct answer, it is indeed difficult to give a direct answer, but still, I will try to share my thoughts about it, and here I go. I am going to discuss about taking a one-year break in academic life.
Education is known as the backbone of a nation, and study should be the primary concern of a student. Since our childhood time, after attending school, we have been continuously studying. We attend to the exams to understand how much knowledge we have gained. So the exam can be considered as the judgment of our knowledge, and after passing the exam, we are allowed to go to the upper class, and every year we do the same, but the difficulty level of study increases with it. A successful academic career is very helpful to get a suitable job or do business in a better way, and that's why doing studies is a serious matter, and it concerns the future of us. All of a sudden, if one takes a one-year gap, saying it is in the name of improving skills, will it be beneficial?
Study is a continuous journey, and it's like riding a vehicle. It starts; it takes time to speed up, and if the vehicle stops in the middle, it will take time again to speed up, meaning to reach the speed before it stopped. In the case of a study, when we are within the study, we have a spirit for it. We continuously try our best to improve ourselves and challenge ourselves to do better in exams. But if we take a one-year break, no matter what the reason, we will be far from studying, and to catch up to the speed and spirit where we left off will be hard to achieve. It may take a huge amount of time, or women may never be able to catch up again. Academic-related things should be done in a flow because if we lose the flow, we will lose the spirit. So it doesn't matter what the reason is; I don't think that taking a break from academic life for 1 year is advisable because it's almost impossible to restart everything from the same place where we left.
One year is not a matter of joke. I know some people say that they can use the time to improve some skills, but in my eyes, it's just a way to procrastinate studying. If someone wants to improve their skill at that time, they must continue to study and improve their skills at the same time. If both are not possible at the same time, then he must wait for his study, and then he can improve his skill. But I always think that gaining or improving skills and studying at the same time is the best strategy.
The thoughts go to the achievements of life. If we are continuously achieving something in life, we must not stop, because if we stop, it can only delay the next achievement. If anyone wants growth, they will find the way for growth without taking a one-year break.
