I don't know about you guys, but Curiosity to know more cost me a lot. The Incident happened two years ago. The time when I had a lot of money.
I was looking at different projects to invest my money into. If I remember correctly, I invested almost 4 k $ in a project. I will not quote the name of the project here. the only information I can give you is that it was based on Pokemon Cartoon.
In the start, the project did very well, You won't believe me, my investment of 4k$ recovered in just a week. It means it was giving us 100% Roi in just 7 days.
What else you can expect from a project? I recovered my investment, But eagerness to get more forced me to reinvest in the project.
Everything was clean and clear, I knew that, if the project keeps working like this, i can recover my money in just a week and after that, i will start getting a profit from it.
I even told one of my friends about the project and he also decided to invest some of his savings into the project.
The team was working tirelessly and introduced new features on a daily basis. which was boosting our confidence in the project.
And you won't believe me, our investment got recovered in just a week and we were in profit, My friend called me and ask me to sell he tokens and book our profit, but I had the news that the team is working on something new and it will be released in the morning.
I got this news from a secret source, which is why I was pretty sure that something big is going to happen and our investment will be 3 to 4 times just in a night.
This excitement leads investors to invest in the project and the price of the token got skyrocketed.
I was in 5 to 6X profit, and on that night, my friend called me 2 to 3 times and suggested selling all the tokens, but I didn't listen to him.
The next day, instead of good news, bad news came that one of the developers in the team rug pulled the project and sold all the tokens that were allocated for the team.
My investment of 10k$ went to 50k$ and then suddenly due to rug pull it came down to only 1k$.
I lost around 49k$. 9k$ of my invested money and 40k$ of the profit I was getting just one night before the rug pull. I should have listened to myself, but we can't do anything about it now.
I will suggest you guys not fall into this kind of trap. whenever you got the chance to recover your investment, keep it a side and invest only your profit further.
