Hello Hive learners community, it's good to have the opportunity to write about our hobbies today and I'm glad to have to join this prompt.
I've gone through some people's post and realised it's not so easy to write about your hobby especially the ones you love the most, takes a good writer to put it in writing because a lot of times we do them without really thinking and so we often lack words to express them.
I hobby to me is something you love doing and something that produces fun joy and "money". I added money because there's no time to waste in this life, if something is not productive enough to add value to you then it's probably not worth doing at all. Time is precious, time is money and we know that a lot of hobbies consume a lot of time so I've been trying to monetize my hobbies because money is important.
You probably know by now that you don't have to work before you make money you can make money from simple hobbies. So here are the few hobbies I have developed over time.
Reading and writing
So this is probably one of the first academic things that I learnt and has always been a thing for me to love to read and write. I could write about a topic and this helps me think broadly and even want to read more about what I want to write about. I'm a person who loves doing research and so I can learn new things with my inquisitive mind. Reading has become a life-long hobby and valuable character for me. Teach a man to read and write and he can rule the world. The ability to read, this one I cherish and that writing caps it up. I have learnt to monetize this on the Hive platform. and it gives me great joy to share this with you all that I have developed my writing and reading skills thanks to contents making an engagement on the Hive platform and on the various communities where I contribute. At first it was a bit difficult but because these things were inherent for me I found it easier with time.
Playing games
You know right now that games have evolved, the games we had about 10 research that I now see us pure waste of time because they are not games that can be played to earn. ideally there isn't any counter in most of the games I've played a big need for speed or Mario game most games have a counter to earn coins but these coins high-waist because they do not agree to any value in the real world only in the game world. Thanks to the blockchain and web3 innovations we now have gamification of the internet and play two n games and now the norm. hence my love for gaming has evolved To become love for playing games to earn.
Nothing can be wasted. I look forward to the launch of more play to earn games on this platform and I'm hopeful to play them when they're released. The PsyberX game and Ragnarok are the top of my list right now.
Washing Clothes
This is a funny one but I have discovered time and time again that I loved to wash clothes. Sometimes I let them pile and look forward to the day I washh them with my hands. With the advent of washing machines to some extent I do not trust them to do the job. This is probably me being jealous I love washing especially when I'm doing it with music to my ears.
Music
Speaking of music I cherish the times when I listen to songs that speak directly to me. The love for music grew stronger to the point of me learning to make music and playing musical instruments. I picked up the guitar first and subsequently learnt to play the piano. I'm not so fast at these but I'm sure that I can make good sounds from them as you may have seen from some of my post in the musically inclined communities. I also took a few courses up on music production with the use of digital audio workstations such as FL studio and Ableton where I make my songs and publish them on various music streaming platforms like audiomack and ReverbNation.
Teaching
As a doctor I can't deny this I love to teach people things that help them become better aware of their surroundings and their health and the things that can help them grow. I've also found myself teaching a few people about this great platform called hive and this takes a lot of my time I don't really count it to be a waste as long as I am adding value to the person I am teaching. I also love teaching the word of God and this shows whenever I am in a discussion or in a bible study I love unraveling Godly revelations to people and helping them grow even spiritually.
Praying
This is one thing that I must add as a hobby because I realise that I ve to develop it. Although there has been an excuse of time but I've realised that its only an excuse and it is not true. I ve have made it a hobby to pray without ceasing, it is very valuable and refreshing too. I believe as the scripture says that man ought to pray and not faint, it also build your spiritual awareness. Praying is not often what people think, they believe your head must be shaking and voice shouting before they can be said to pray. It is a consistent, gentle communication with your creator and emphasising his word concerning matters back to him either in request, supplication or in worship. It's a beautiful experience.
Finally
I ll like to say that monetizing hobbies is a really profitable thing on hive especially, those things you see you do easily can really get you friends, connections and social power on this platform.
