Hello everyone in the hive blockchain. I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the weather wherever you are. Welcome to my blog.

The hive learners community has presented us with another amazing topic and I’m glad to be participating in it.
At first, I thought of skipping this topic because; I woke up today feeling sick. The headache was out of this world. The sickness started yesterday with a slight headache. I didn’t think it was something big so I just used paracetamol. I couldn’t sleep well, and I woke up feeling very weak, with a sharp head. My temperature was something else.
I decided to leave the topic and wait till evening. Now that I’m writing this, I have a little strength. But I hope I don’t collapse soon.
Another reason why I felt like skipping this topic is because I have never experienced a “big court case”. Thankfully, I read @merit.ahama post and I discovered she’s just like me; she has also not experienced a “big court case”.
Growing up, after my first dream job got crushed, another job I thought of chasing was to become a lawyer. Hehe @merit.ahama said in her post one course she would hate to study even if she gets the chance is Law. Unlike her, I’ve always thought of wearing white and black. The way those peeps dress is so nice. Sometimes I feel sad whenever I see them in my school. Hehe, but there is nothing much to do about it.
I also find crime movies fascinating. If you’re the type of person that likes watching crime related movies, I recommend you watch “FOR LIFE” starring Aaron Wallace and 50 cent (Cassius Dawkins). Aaron Wallace was sentenced to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. While he prison, he learned the law and helped so many people out of prison. Eventually, he also worked on his case and won it. I find this type of movies pretty interesting.
I’ve heard so many stories of people who went against the law and landed themselves in court. I read @nkemakonam court case post. The issue could’ve been very bad. Thanks to her wise thoughts, she was able to bring evidence before the judge and the case was easy-peasy (as she said).
Unlike Nkem, I have never been to the court for a serious issue. Is it funny that I’ve not even seen a judge on the seat (that judges’ seat, I don’t know what it is called). Of course I’ve seen them in so many movies, but not in real life.
Although, I have been to the court but it wasn’t for a serious case.
The one and only time I entered a court
The first and online time I entered a court was last year. I had an issue with my bank, so I had to get some paper works done.
I opened a student account; the minimum amount that account could contain was 300k. If any amount above 300k enters the account, the bank will block it immediately. I knew about this, but I was just too lazy to go for an account upgrade (Don’t blame me, I had lots of things on my mind at that time).
Sadly, I totally forgot that bank account was a student account. Someone sent me 30k (I think) and my account balance passed 300k (I had about 309k). #crap! It was them my brain clicked. I hope nothing would happen, but I was just so unlucky. A few minutes later, my bank sent me a message saying my account has been on hold and I’d have to go the bank to rectify things.
I went to the bank the next day. You know Nigerian banks and their problems. They said I’d have to go to the court to get a state of origin and date of birth affidavit.
I had to rush down to the court. The place was nice and neat. I saw images of different people on the wall (president, Vice Presidents and all). I also saw on the wall “liter here and pay a fine of 15000. I did the necessary things and in about 20 minutes I left there.
So that’s it. That was the first and only time I’ve ever been to a court. I’d have loved to share a story of a friend that experienced a terrible and serious court case, but I’m just too weak to do that. Maybe next time I will.
Thanks for reading.
