Essa história se passa em um momento onde ainda não tínhamos cartão de crédito, apenas existiam cheques que poucos aceitavam e praticamente quase tudo ou era comprado a vista ou no máximo em carnes de pagamento nas lojas, esse rapaz tinha por volta de 19 anos, sua infância foi com pouco dinheiro, porém sempre buscava ser feliz usando sua imaginação, ele não se importava de comer hambúrguer e empanado de almoço, pois era o que sua família conseguia ter de alimento no dia de semana, visto que carne era muito cara, infelizmente ele se acostumou a se alimentar de forma ruim e isso foi impactando sua saúde, porém passou sua infância com finais de semana passando no hospital tomando soro para fortalecer seu estômago e se hidratar.
Mas voltando aos seus 19 anos ele tinha um trabalho e decidiu fazer sua carteira de habilitação, porém como tudo era longe e dificilmente os chefes dispensavam as pessoas para fazer sua carteira de motorista, acabou sendo estressante e desgastante, além de problemas familiares, com tudo isso acontecendo, se sobrecarrega e do dia para noite começou a perder peso, sentir sede excessiva, além de muita fome, o pânico começou a tomar conta dele, pois não sabia como contar para alguém saber o problema, pois começou a se assustar, ao usar o banheiro, começou a verificar que muitas formigas começaram a aparecer em volta do vaso e isso foi o deixando com mais medo ainda.
Então esse rapaz decidiu pesquisar na internet, antes de ir consultar, com medo do que encontraria, para sua surpresa, ao realizar uma breve busca, descobriu que os sintomas se tratavam sobre diabetes, seu mundo pareceu desabar em poucos segundos, pois ela amava comer doces e massas, tentou adiar ir ao médico, porém como não conseguia dormir direito e os outros sintomas estavam aumentando decidiu ir consultar, ao chegar lá constatou-se que havia perdido 10 quilos, e ao fazer o exame de glicose o aparelho apareceu duas letras “Hi” que significavam que de acordo com a medição do aparelho, sua glicose estava acima do marcados máximo que era 600, o medico comentou com o paciente dizendo que não sabia como ele estava consciente e o diagnostico sai, diabetes tipo 1, começa o tratamento com aplicação de insulina para baixar a glicose, mal sabe ele que sua rotina vai mudar totalmente, após algumas horas em observação o medico concede alta e prescreve remédios para posteriormente serem substituídos por insulina, em posterior consulta com um medico especialista um novo mundo lhe é apresentado, devendo evitar ao máximo a alimentação com açucares, buscando alimentos com media ou absorção lenta de carboidratos e devendo focar em atividade física, além de um alto custo de vida, pois os produtos são com valor muito mais alto, uma realidade totalmente diferente do que vivia anteriormente e agora como seria daqui para frente?
