Hey Everyone!!
We all love to plan. We make schedules, set goals, organize our lives to the last detail, and expect everything to follow the path we’ve designed. It gives us comfort, a sense of control, and hope for the future. But often, life doesn't cooperate. Just when everything seems perfectly mapped out, something unexpected comes along and changes everything. That’s when we realize that no matter how carefully we plan, sometimes, God has a different idea.
There’s nothing wrong with making plans. It shows we are thinking ahead, taking responsibility for our lives. But life is full of uncertainties, and sometimes it feels like the more we plan, the more things fall apart. And maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Because in those moments of confusion and detour, something deeper is happening. Maybe we didn’t get the job we wanted because a better one is on the way. Maybe a relationship ended because we were meant to find someone who truly understands and supports us. Maybe a delay in our dreams is life’s way of preparing us more deeply, so we’re ready when the right moment comes.
When things don’t go according to our plans, it's easy to feel disappointed or even lost. But if we take a step back and look at the bigger picture, we might find that what felt like a setback was actually a setup for something greater. We’re only seeing a small part of the journey, while God sees it all—the past, the present, and the future. What may seem like failure or bad luck could be divine timing in disguise.
This doesn’t mean we should stop dreaming or give up on working toward our goals. It just means we should stay open. Stay flexible. Keep the door open for surprises and detours, because they might lead us to places we never imagined—places far more meaningful and beautiful than what we originally planned.
So when things don’t go your way, don’t panic. Don’t lose hope. Maybe it’s not rejection—it’s redirection. Maybe it’s not failure—it’s preparation. Life isn’t meant to be fully controlled; it’s meant to be lived with trust and faith. Let go of the idea that everything has to go exactly as you imagined. You may be surprised by how wonderful life can become when you stop forcing your plan and start flowing with the one that’s already written for you.
Never plan too much—God may have something better in mind.
