Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 104, Edition 01 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on our first topic for this week which is “FROM MY MOM AND DAD”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “A PERFECT WORLD”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about how the world would be if borders became a thing of the past. They told us the many benefits that would be enjoyed as a result, and then the disadvantages that a world without borders would pose.
We got to see just how bad or good such a thing would be if pursued, it all depends on how people react to it. But then, if we choose to live as one, without any prejudice of any kind, it won’t matter if the world has borders. Nothing will keep us apart.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w103e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us the reason borders were created in the first place and he also made us see why getting rid of borders will not be in our best interests. From security issues to the protection of resources, the borders go a long way in protecting the nation from those who would want to steal from the people.
UTOPIA STARTS AT HOME by @terganftp
For this author, he also told us that such a world, while ideal and great, would not come to pass. This is simply because of human nature. As long as there is greed in the world, and as long as people keep wanting things that belong to others, then the issue of borders will never be a thing of the past.
This author shared with us his idea of a perfect world, especially one without security issues where he would be scared for his life from time to time. A world without borders would turn him into a traveler and he would freely traipse around the world with no care at all. It would be a beautiful thing indeed.
