Making ends meet is not an easy thing to do, in fact, the percentage of adults who are not able to make ends meet are more than those who are financially stable. This makes many people do extra help jobs or side hustles, some might even go to the extent of doing a job that they hate doing but there are some jobs that one can’t do regardless of how financially unstable they are.
Every one of us has that particular job that we can’t do even if it means we go broke. These jobs may differ according to anyone’s preferences just to clarify there is no job that is not good, it only depends on perspective and personality
Personally, there are a lot of jobs that I would not love to do, just like; teaching, marketing, law, etc. but if it requires me to go broke, I would probably do them. One job that I am certain that I can not do regardless of any benefit it brings, is to be a STRIPPER.
Many people might think that stripping is not a job or a legal one but it is in some places. They are professional strippers and they are guided by rules and also earn either hourly, daily, or monthly just like every random job.
I guess we are all familiar with the meaning of stripper. A stripper is more like an exotic dancer or pole dancer(although, not all pole dancers are strippers) their job is to perform a striptease in an event or club.
There are a lot of reasons why I can’t be a stripper, but these are some;
My self-respect is one thing that would not let me be a stripper regardless of the benefits it holds. I am the type of person who can’t stand anything that will dishonor my self-esteem, and being a stripper will only make people (the people being entertained) or people in general view or treat them as nothing more than an object. Although, some people do not care but for me, it is not an ideal job that I would be proud to associate myself with.
Apart from my self-respect, I was brought up in a Christian home which doesn’t support jobs like that, it is not moral to expose yourself in search of money, and just in search of money but also pleasuring and increasing desire in men that leads to sexual immorality. Being a stripper also comes with some kinds of stigma, that I don’t think I want.
Personally, I am not always comfortable with exposing my body, I can’t even imagine myself in undies and even to the point of dancing with undies. I am very proud and confident of my body but exposing my body doesn’t make me more confident.
Lastly, jobs like strippers don't pay in the long run, you can’t strip for the rest of your life, and eventually, you get old and you are automatically unable to strip because you are not physically fit. Also, there are no longterm benefits like insurance, pension, or anything at all that would guarantee money when one grows old.
In addition, strippers are usually caught up with a lot of things like drugs, and are not guaranteed safety.
