I have constantly asked myself “what is my talent?”, “Did God even give me any talent?” and sometimes I ask “how will I discover my talent?”, I have search throughly by using Google.. I even did test and all but it was to no avail.
One of the thing google also stated ‘was to ask people what they think my talent is’. But what most people said does not really seem relevant or maybe I was the one that didn’t see them as something relevant…. I do not have a present talent that I know of and I have settled for the fact for now.
But one thing I know for sure is, hard-work can take you somewhere great. Even when you have not discovered your talent or you prolly don’t have a talent. Worry less…, hardwork pays.
Funny, how hard work beats talent. Well, I feel like hard work can only beat talent without hard work. If you are talented and you also work hard or you put more enthusiasm into whatever you are into.. you are surely gonna be outstanding.
But talent alone ?
Sorry, lovelies. It does not work. If you want to make your talent count, then you have to work hard. Though, in many cases hard work might be hard, as it has to deal with consistency and determination but with talent it is more easier.
Personally, I have always admired people with talents and sometimes I wish I can discover mine. When I see people draw, sing , dance or do some creative things it is just so nice. But it is definitely not talent that is forging a way for me.
So what is that hard work has really helped me in?
They are some things that I am into, some people might mistake this as talent, but trust me when I say I know how much effort, time, learning and energy that I had to put into practice. I crotchet (though for like two months, I have not done any crotchets), I also cook and bake.
I learnt all these things online for some period and with practice and consistency. Though it has been long I crotchet or baked (probably because I have some stuffs on my table).. Well, I am not talented but I can also compete with those who are JUST talented.
I’ll say, talent can fade or go dead (surely with time one can recover them back). If one does not try to learn more or work on one’s talent, the talent is then considered useless or dead. JUST talent will rarely take you somewhere neither will it put food on your table.
But, no matter how talented or talentless you are, hard work will surely work for you… but talent alone can not work for you. Talent is good because it serves as an advantage for you to make head way.
People are not talented tend to work harder than those who are talented, in order to meet up.
So, for those who are talented
Do you not depend solely on your talent, it will not take you any way but put more effort and see how great you will become.
