Today's young generation does not like to eat vegetables at all. Since I am also a part of the same young generation, this rule applies to me as well, which means that I also do not like vegetables. This used to be case with me. I used to keep distance from vegetables but i was close to lentils and some green vegetables.
When I was studying in school and college, I used to eat very little vegetables. But as soon as I entered the university and I was exposed to hostel food, my attitude changed towards vegetables. Actually in the university hostels the food is not good and most of the meals in the breakfast and dinner are vegetables. So when a student eats those tasteless vegetables, he/she is reminded of home-made spicy and crunchy vegetables. After experiencing hostel i became vegetarian 😂.
Moreover, these days i am taking much interest in kitchen chores. Most of the recipes which i am trying these days are vegetarian. There is another reason that why i am more inclined towards vegetables is getting nutrients for my body and for health. Actually, i lost bunch of head hairs. I am taking great care of my hairs now. That's why i have added vegetables into my diet.
At the same time, i cannot say to my previous diet which is majorly comprised of chicken, lentils and cereal. My previous diet was mixed with vegetables and chicken. There are many vegetables which are my all time favourite. Saag which is a famous dish in south Asia and Meethi( Fenugreek) is my all time favorite vegetables. Infact, there is no one in my family members who can say no to these two dishes. It's more like that love for these two vegetables is in genes of my family.
I think mix of vegetables and non-veg is always a good combination. Because consuming vegetables all the time will also not be a good way to live. We all know that 50 percent of body dry weight is comprised of proteins. Moreover, we also know that source protein are predominantly non-veg items like egg, chicken and other things. For the better growth of hairs eggs and chicken are also beneficial.
If i ever think to switch my complete diet to vegetables then i think i could only live with this diet plan for just one week. Otherwise i think doing diet is not good.One year back, i planned to do dieting. I was oblivious to proper diet plans and not aware of what to eat and what not to eat. I used to have lays in the morning and i always skipped my breakfast. This worsened my body. Although i lost fat and i became as much smart as much i wanted to be. This starved dieting affected my hairs. Till now i am dealing with my lost hairs. I am worried about them. That's why these days i am having mixed diet with vegetables and chicken and eggs.
