Welcome once again my loyal and esteemed readers of this corner of the blockchain.

Today I'm going to be talking to you about the first quarter of the year. It's about analyzing how this first part of the year has been evolving.

We're already a quarter through this year and we should review how our purposes and goals we've set for ourselves up to today have been developing.

Of course, in my case you already know I do this from a very particular perspective, because I don't like to air personal matters here within the blockchain. Basically because, as I've said in other posts (and I mention this for new readers or newcomers who might not know), I don't share personal matters here.

It's because this blog is fundamentally dedicated to arts, knowledge, and the exploration of ideas about different aspects of life, both constructively and critically, let's say controversial and anarchist, about various points concerning everyday life and humanity in general.

So, this is essentially what my perspective is about in this blog and this community.

Personal matters don't belong here.

So if you're expecting to read some gossip about my life or personal matters, you'll see that on another occasion, because I do also share episodes of my life but trying to be as generic as possible.

But it's not the norm of what I deal with here.

With that clarified, I'll move on to the topic, answering the first question:

How has this year been so far?

This year has been quite surprising.

We're already in mid-April and I can tell you that the expectations I had about this year, that things would get better for me, I thought they would materialize much sooner. Recently, the positive side of this year has started to show.

I really expected that by late January or early February the well-being would manifest, but this well-being has practically only shown itself in the last two weeks.

Meaning it's something very recent and which doesn't motivate me much, because I truly had hopes based on all the financial commentary and the amount of noise being made in the crypto market and worldwide financially, that this year would be positive for everyone.

And all the situation that's happened in financial markets with Trump's decisions and all that, which has turned the world upside down, putting markets in the red, has been truly demotivating.

But now I'm seeing financial progress that, on my part, began in February, precisely on Valentine's Day this year, when I started with a new initiative and a new opportunity I'm focused on, in addition to Hive.

Because I started thinking, and through conversations with a good friend of mine, that Hive shouldn't be my only alternative, but rather something additional.

So I continue maintaining my work here on Hive, but having an additional income source that's much more interesting than Hive and which I don't plan to share here.

But now that I'm dedicating myself with greater strength and directing my efforts there directly, because it's what will improve my life, the difference I can say is remarkable.

In eight years on Hive I've only managed to maintain myself financially, but it hasn't improved my life as I'd hoped.

Whereas with this other alternative I adopted in February of this year, in just these months, in three months, my life has changed in a very significant way.

It's a difference in comparison between eight years on Hive where I've stayed without improvement, and now in just three months with this new initiative I've improved everything I hadn't improved in eight years on Hive.

Well truly the difference is remarkable.

This year in that sense has been very surprising for me and I feel very motivated.

This also partly answers the next question:

Is this year everything I hoped it would be?

As I've already said in the previous question: no, this year hasn't been everything I hoped it would be.

Because I really expected that this year, from its beginnings, practically from the second week of January or, to be less optimistic, from the last week of January, things would go well.

That financial improvement would be visible to the point where I could acquire the goods and services that would allow me to be more comfortable, to get out of the debts and commitments I've had for some time and haven't been able to fulfill, precisely because of this financial repression I've found myself in, this recession.

This year hasn't been what I expected it to be.

And now it seems to be giving a glimpse that might let me say this year is everything I hoped for.

I have to wait until the year ends, and we're only at 25%.

I can barely say it's showing itself to be a little positive. I can't say it's completely positive.

For this to be positive it has to meet a certain expectation, and my expectation is that, for me to consider this year positive, it has to surpass 51% of positive effects in my life.

And since we're only a quarter through, it's necessary that this year reaches at least 51%.

Meaning that by July of this year, I could make another post saying whether this year has truly been what I hoped for, because the majority of the year will have passed, that is, 51 to 60% of it.

But to be clear: I don't expect this year to be completely good, because with my experience of life cycles and everything I've been through in 57 years, well I can tell you that this happiness or temporariness or this cycle will simply be temporary, and I honestly don't believe this well-being will last more than 15 days to three weeks.

I could be wrong and it might last much longer, but in my experience that won't be the case.

What I can tell you is that I'm trying to make the most of this nice season or this three-week dream that I think will last approximately.

Let's move to the next question, which says:

How far have you come in relation to your plans?

Well as I've been saying, only parts of my plans are starting to be executed.

Part of my plans include getting out of the main debts or commitments I have, and mainly this might be achieved perhaps by July of this year, when I've reached 51%. That I can get out of the biggest commitment I have, which is a debt of around $400.

Once I've achieved that goal, I can move on to the other plans that involve acquiring a new mattress, making certain repairs in my house: the toilet, the shower, certain things that are damaged and need repair.

And then also move on to acquiring new glasses and acquiring new pants and new shoes and new sandals too.

They're things that seem simple but require a money investment that, in my case previously, I didn't have, and temporarily I'm having it now.

We'll see how it develops.

Now to reach the final part, I can say that the changes I've made involve a personal aspect in my life, from the point of view that I've decided to manage my time more wisely, dedicating myself to reading at least one hour daily or 10 pages of a book daily.

Dedicating myself to measuring the time I spend online and also dedicating myself to measuring or rationing the amount of interactions I have here on Hive, because it consumes a lot of time and isn't giving me the results I truly expect.

I prefer to ration quantity with quality rather than the inverse: to have comments, few comments of very high quality and few interactions of very high quality, rather than a large quantity of low-quality comments. That's not the idea.

And so far this approach is working well for me in every way.

This is part of what has worked out positively. And also my interactions with other groups of people that involve more Anglo-Saxon communities have given me much better results than the Hispanic community I belong to.

This is something very interesting, very important for me.

If I do better on the Anglo side, then obviously I'm going to disengage from everything related to the Hispanic community and focus on the part that's truly giving me results, which is the Anglo-Saxon side.

This means interacting with communities from India, Pakistan, the Arabs, the Spanish, the Japanese, and leaving aside all this other part that hasn't yielded the results I've expected.

I've had tremendous growth just by dedicating myself since the beginning of this year to Anglo communities, whereas I haven't had the growth I expected by dedicating myself to all the Hispanic communities, having been on Hive for eight years.

The difference is more than notable.

If in three months operating in Anglo communities, I've developed everything I hadn't developed in eight years interacting with Hispanic communities, then the change is a very important, significant indicator for me to go this way.

Also, besides that, the other initiative I told you I wouldn't share, which is the other venture I've been pursuing since February of this year.

And this is what I can say regarding the first quarter of this year, and let's hope that by the second quarter I can give a more complete view and say for certain whether this year has been good or bad for me.

Although we'd also have to wait for the year to complete to give a full analysis, because it's possible that in the remaining two quarters of the year, things could be very negative, and the negative, even if it carries less weight than the positive, could end up being much more damaging than what I've received so far.

We must maintain a critical sense and a critical vision both unreasonable and reasonable about this. And this is what I can say about the first quarter of this year.
