There is this sickness that through research have rupt many of their joy. The sickness is as deadly as virus and it's dent is lifetime. Many now living, including me are suffering from it. Worse yet, no hospital holds the cure nor can any vaccine company produce it's antidote.
At this point in time, I well know that you my content reader may be wondering what it is. Dear friend, am poised to let you know that you should go for a health care checkup just to kick against the ailment. Why? it's because, the ailment is irresistable because, it takes us unaware.
Are my just beating round the bush? Are you confuse? hahaha, bring your mind back let's reason one on one. The sickness is "PROCRASTINATION".
Why the topic/causes?
Procrastination is the act of postponing one's decision. Procrastination is like a disease. Once ignored, can keep one in a state of inactivity. And there are various triggers of procrastination. Below are few of them:
Boring: Whenever we are faced with difficulty or heavy task, once we allowed boredom to encroach, it must surely lead to procrastination.
Weakness: For sure, weakness leads to dizziness and dizziness on the other hand, usher's in sleepiness. No matter whatever we are doing, once we allow sleep to intrude, surely, we must procrastinate.
Frustration: If one is frustrated in life, procrastination must follow.
Unstructured: Always lay a good structure on how to accomplish your goals in life, else, confusion must visit you. Knowing or unknowingly, you must welcome it not knowing that procrastination is the partner.
Other causes of procrastination includes: Fear, Anxiety and stress.
How to avoid procrastination
There is no two ways about it. All you need to do is to avoid all the above mentioned causes of procrastination. Also:
Adjust your decisions: On daily basis, we intend achieving all our aims. But, at the end, we end up procrastinating the most important ones. Therefore, strive hard to minimize your daily tasks. Pursue the most important daily tasks.
Know your limits: Set attainable goals.
Adjust your environment: Our destination and environment plays vital role on our journey to stop procrastination. Therefore, if your environment is not suitable, then, adjust.
Conclusion
This disease have affected me severally. That's why I have decided to drop this lecture over it. Yes, there is this adage that says, and I quote:
Problem known is half solved
Honestly, procrastination is almost a general problem. But, as I have decided to talk about it, myself, will definitely work hard to kick against it. Procrastination is a thorn in my flesh. It has caused me to miss lifetime opportunities. But, from today, the battle is drawn. Let's see how it goes.
- Let's do our best to avoid procrastination. It's a battle we must strive hard to win. Let's not relent, let's make sure of the most important things. For if we do, we will definitely reap it's fruits including: Happiness, Rest of mind couple with trust. Let's strive hard to achieve our aim.
