Hello Hive friends, especially from this @hivelearners community. Reading the theme of this Semi-Weekly Featured Contents Edition 03, many memories of my childhood came to my mind.
First, we had a black and white TV, but I remember the time when my dad brought home our first color TV, it was big and it was in the living room, in fact it was the only one we had at that time. I also remember that every day during the week they would show the Batman series at six o'clock in the evening, and how the sound effects were written on screen, I will never forget that.
Another thing I remember is, that I didn't like to watch TV on weekends when Dad was home. Because the programming used to be Tarzan, Planet of the Apes or some cowboy movie. However, over time there were many cartoon series that remained engraved in my heart, some I don't remember the name but I do remember their images. Others I remember much more, such as Candy Candy, Little Lulu, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Marco, Remy, the Pink Panther.
What is Heidi's story about?
This is an animated cartoon series set in the Swiss Alps and tells the story of a little orphan girl who lives with her aunt Dette, but has to go to live in the mountains of the Alps with her grandfather, who was a lonely and ill-mannered man.
Heidi, is a 1970s Japanese series by the Fuji TV production company Zuiyo, based on the novel by Johanna Spyri and directed by Isao Takahata, Yoshio Kuroda and Atsuji Hayakawa. This series had 52 episodes.
Main characters in history
The main character is Heidi, whose real name is Adelaide like her late mother. Heidi's grandfather, was known as "The Old Man of the Alps". There in the mountains she met her adventurous companion Peter, who was a shepherd boy and lived with his grandmother and mother.
Then, well into the story, other important characters appear such as Klara Sesemann, who would become Heidi's best friend, her father Mr. Sesemann, Grandma Sesemann and Miss Rottenmeier, who live in Frankfurt.

The old man in the Alps lives alone, in a wooden hut on the top of a hill, with his goats that Pedro takes good care of.
I always dreamed when I was a child, to be able to be there, in the grandfather's hut, because when Heidi arrived, and had nowhere to put her, he put her in an attic in the upper part of the hut with a small round window from where she could see and hear Pichi, a cute little blue bird, who is also an interesting character in this story, sing. His grandfather would also give him bread, with cheese melting in the fireplace, and feed him fresh goat's milk. I always wanted to live that experience, and even at 46 years old I don't miss the opportunity.
I almost forgot to mention another important and friendly character, the imposing Niebla, an immense St. Bernard, who lives quietly and unhurriedly with his grandfather in the mountains.
Heidi was delighted to live in the mountains, where she walked barefoot and lived happily in the open air. She was a cheerful and witty little girl who gradually won her grandfather's heart. Together with Pedro, they lived the greatest adventures. However, as time went by, Aunt Dette appeared on the scene again and got Heidi a job as a lady-in-waiting for an invalid girl (Klara) in Frankfurt. Of course she didn't want to go, but her aunt took her by force, leaving her grandfather heartbroken.
Arriving in Frankfurt Heidi found herself far away from her friend Peter, from pichi, from fog and especially from her beloved grandfather. Frankfurt was a huge city and so was Klara's house, who lived alone with servants because her father was usually absent for work and her grandmother did not live with her either.
Clara was in charge of Miss Rottenmeier, who was a very strict tutor and also tried to bring Heidi to heel. Here Heidi was called Adelaide and was forced to take lessons and to behave with good manners. Heidi and her mischief gladdened Klara's heart, and together with her they had great adventures.
During her stay at Klara's house, Heidi began to save fresh, soft breads, so that when she returned to the mountains she could take them to Pedro's grandmother, who had no teeth. Of course, over time the breads became hard. Eventually Heidi returns to the mountains, but they make sure she brings fresh bread for Pedro's grandmother.
However, some time later they received an unexpected letter from Klara informing them that she was going to visit them in the mountains, which meant a great challenge because Klara was in a wheelchair. But this was not an impediment and finally Klara arrived and was reunited with Heidi. There she got to know her grandfather, Pedro, Pichí, Niebla, the goats that also had names and the one I remember most is Snowflake, a cute little white goat. Everything that Heidi had always told her about, and had filled her with anxiety and desire to know.
Heidi and Pedro resolved to help Clara to walk, and in their efforts and the energy that Klara could feel during her stay in the mountains, they were able to walk. Don't you find it amazing and truly beautiful?
Interesting facts about Niebla
I recently discovered something very interesting about Niebla, when I was doing research on the San Bernardos. This is that, in the original Japanese version of this animated series, Niebla was called Joseph. But when it was translated into Spanish, the dubbing director Angelina Gatell, influenced for the name change, in honor of one of Pablo Neruda's dogs , therefore in his honor, this tender character of Heidi was renamed.
Teaching of this story
Heidi left me with great lessons. Sometimes because of our circumstances we pretend to forcefully change other people's lives, as for example Aunt Dette imposed on Grandpa, the obligation to take care of Heidi and then ripped her away from him to take her to work in Frankfurt. A big impact for both grandfather and Heidi. Sometimes we don't measure the impact our actions can have on other people.
Another lesson is that children have a therapeutic effect and can brighten and change people's lives. Just by being children and when we let them be happy, they can make others happy.
Another thing I could perceive, in this case from the grandfather is, that just because a person is lonely or very serious does not mean that he is a bad person. So appearances can be deceiving.
Also, even if a person has money it doesn't mean that he or she is happy as in Klara's case. Her father left her alone to go to work, but she was missing out on what was really important.
This story reminds me a lot of the situation that we have been experiencing for some years in our country (Venezuela), many parents have gone to other countries looking for better income to be able to support their family. Some of them leave their children, often in the care of their elderly grandparents, which represents a great physical and emotional burden for both the children and the grandparents. Many times they make these decisions without consulting them and they change their lives

Hola amigos de Hive, especialmente de esta comunidad de @hivelearners. Al leer el tema de este Semi-Weekly Featured Contents Edition 03, me vinieron a mi mente muchos recuerdos de mi infancia.
Primero, tuvimos un televisor a blanco y negro, pero recuerdo el tiempo en que mi papá nos trajo a casa nuestro primer televisor a color, era grande y estaba en la sala de la casa, de hecho era el único que tuvimos en ese tiempo. También recuerdo que todos los días durante la semana pasaban la serie de Batman a las seis de las tarde, y como los efectos de sonido eran escritos en pantalla, nunca voy a olvidar eso.
Otra cosa que recuerdo es, que no me gustaba ver la tv los fines de semana que era cuando papá estaba en casa. Porque la programación solía ser Tarzán, el Planeta de los Simios o alguna película de vaqueros. Sin embargo, a lo largo del tiempo había muchas series de dibujos animados que quedaron grabadas en mi corazón, algunas no recuerdo el nombre pero sí sus imágenes. De otras me acuerdo mucho más, como Candy Candy, La Pequeña Lulú, Los Picapiedras, Los Supersónicos, Marco, Remy, la Pantera Rosa.
Pero hoy te quiero hablar de una en especial y se trata de Heidi, ¿la conoces?, ¿la viste? Me gustaría saber lo que recuerdas de ella. Aunque unos pocos años atrás reprodujeron una versión nueva, nada que ver con la original que se quedó en mi corazón. Recuerdo que mi abuela me había regalado varios cojines con imágenes de Heidi, con los cuales dormía.
¿De qué trata la historia de Heidi?
Esta es una serie de dibujos animados ambientada en los Alpes suizos y cuenta la historia de una pequeña niña huérfana que vive con su tía Dette, pero que tiene que irse a vivir a las montañas de los Alpes con su abuelo, quien era un hombre solitario y mal encarado.

Historia de Heidi
Heidi es una niña suiza, huérfana de padre y madre, quien como ya les mencioné vivía con su tía Dette. Sin embargo, ésta consigue un trabajo en Alemania y no puede hacerse cargo de la niña, por eso decide llevarla con su abuelo a los Alpes. El viejo de los Alpes vive solo, en una cabaña de madera en la cima de una colina, junto a sus cabras a quienes cuida muy bien Pedro.
Siempre soñé cuando era niña, poder estar allí, en la cabaña del abuelo, porque al llegar Heidi, y no tener donde ubicarla, la acomoda en un ático en la parte superior de la cabaña con una pequeña ventana redonda desde donde puede ver y oír cantar a pichi, un lindo pajarito azul, quien también es un interesante personaje en esta historia. Además su abuelo le daba pan, con queso que se derretía en la chimenea y le daba a tomar leche fresca de cabra. Siempre quise vivir esa experiencia, y aun a mis 46 años no pierdo la oportunidad.
Por poco se me olvidaba mencionar a otro importante y simpático personaje, y este es el imponente Niebla, que es un inmenso San Bernardo, quien pausadamente y sin nada de prisa vive tranquilo junto al abuelo en las montañas.
Heidi vivía encantada en las montañas, donde andaba descalza y vivía feliz al aire libre. Era una niña alegre y muy ocurrente que poco a poco se fue ganando el corazón de su abuelo. Junto a Pedro, vivieron las más grandes aventuras. Sin embargo, al pasar el tiempo, aparece en escena nuevamente la tía Dette, quien le consiguió a Heidi un trabajo como dama de compañía para una niña inválida (Klara) en Frankfurt. Por supuesto ella no quería ir, pero su tía la llevó a la fuerza dejando a su abuelo con el corazón roto.
Al llegar a Franfurt Heidi se vio alejada de su amigo Pedro, de pichi, de niebla y en especial de su querido abuelito. Frankfurt era una ciudad enorme y de esa misma forma era la casa de Klara, quien vivía sola con sirvientes porque su padre generalmente estaba ausente por trabajo y su abuelita tampoco vivía con ella.
Clara estaba a cargo de la señorita Rottenmeier, quien era una tutora muy estricta y trató también de meter a Heidi en cintura. En este lugar Heidi era llamada Adelaida y fue obligada a recibir clases y a comportarse con buenos modales. Heidi y sus travesuras alegraron el corazón de Klara, y junto a ella vivieron grandes aventuras.
En su estancia en la casa de Klara, Heidi comenzó a guardar panes frescos y suaves, para cuando volviera a la montaña llevarlos a la abuelita de Pedro, que no tenía dientes. Claro que con el tiempo los panes se ponían duros. Finalmente Heidi vuelve a las montañas, pero se aseguran que lleve pan fresco para la abuelita de Pedro.
Sin embargo, tiempo después reciben una inesperada carta de Klara informándoles que irá de visita a las montañas, lo cual significaba un gran reto porque Klara estaba en silla de ruedas. Pues esto no fue impedimento y finalmente Klara llegó y se reencontró nuevamente con Heidi. Allí pudo conocer al abuelo, a Pedro, a pichí, a Niebla, a las cabras que también tenía nombres y la que más recuerdo es Copo de Nieve, una linda cabrita blanca. Todo de lo que siempre le había hablado Heidi, y la había llenado de ansiedad y deseo por conocer.
Heidi y Pedro se resolvieron a ayudar a Clara a caminar, y en su empeño y la energía que Klara pudo sentir en su estancia en las montañas, lograron que pudieran caminar. ¿No les parece increíble y verdaderamente hermoso?
Datos interesantes sobre Niebla
Descubrí hacé poco algo muy interesante sobre Niebla, cuando estaba haciendo una investigación sobre los San Bernardos. Esto es que, en la versión japonesa original de esta serie animada, Niebla se llamaba Joseph. Pero al ser traducida al español, la directora de doblaje Angelina Gatell, influyó para el cambio de nombre, en honor a uno de los perros de Pablo Neruda, por lo tanto, en su honor, se rebautizó a este tierno personaje de Heidi.
Enseñanza de esta historia
Heidi me dejó grandes lecciones. A veces por nuestras circunstancias pretendemos cambiar a la fuerza la vida de las otras personas, como por ejemplo la tía Dette le impuso al abuelo, la obligación de cuidar a Heidi y luego se la arrancó para llevarla a trabajar en Frankfurt. Un gran impacto tanto para el abuelo como para Heidi. A veces no medimos el impacto que nuestras acciones pueden causar en las otras personas.
Otra enseñanza es que los niños tienen un efecto terapéutico y pueden alegrar y cambiar la vida de las personas. Simplemente por ser niños y cuando los dejamos ser felices, pueden hacer felices a los demás.
Otra cosa que pude percibir, en este caso del abuelo es, que el hecho de que una persona sea solitaria o muy seria no quiere decir que sea una mala persona. Así que las apariencias engañan.
Además, aunque una persona tenga dinero no significa que sea feliz como en el caso de Klara. Su padre la dejaba sola para ir a trabajar, pero se estaba perdiendo lo verdaderamente importante.
Esta historia me recuerda mucho a la situación que estamos viviendo desde hace algunos años en nuestro país (Venezuela), muchos padres se han ido a otros países buscando tener mejores ingresos para poder mantener a su familia. Algunos de ellos dejan a sus niños, muchas veces a cargo de sus abuelos mayores, lo cual representa una gran carga tanto física como emocional tanto para los niños como para los abuelos. Muchas veces toman estas decisiones sin consultarles y les cambian la vida.
