Hello Members of Hive Learners Community is been a splendid weeks so far so this week am writing i am discussing with my personal thoughts on the topics suggested: Is a person’s level of cleanliness based on how much they earn? Honestly, this question is not so easy to answer because life works in different ways for different people. But let me share how I see it from my own experience and observation.
Money has the power to change someone’s lifestyle. When you start earning well or suddenly become rich, everything about you begins to improve. Your dressing, your environment, the way you smell, even the way you take care of your body will change. You may start using better soap, perfume, body lotion, skincare products, and even pay someone to clean your house. These changes happen naturally when money enters your life.
However, I’ve also seen people who are rich but still live simple lives. They don’t show off, and you may never know they have money. But they are always neat and put together. Their hygiene is not because of wealth it’s just how they’ve chosen to live. These are people I’d call “quiet millionaires.” They care about cleanliness, not to impress anyone, but because it’s part of their standard.
If we talk about how much influence money has, I would say it has a lot. Someone who has ten million naira can’t be compared to another person who has twenty million. The difference will show. Their clothes, their shoes, the place they live, even the scent they carry all of it changes. Money gives you access to better products and services that make hygiene easier to maintain. And with that comes more respect from people and even confidence in yourself.
But this doesn’t mean poor people can’t be clean. I’ve seen people who don’t have much but still stay very neat. Their clothes may be old, but they are well-washed. Their rooms are small, but they are tidy. They don’t have money for luxury items, but they take care of what they have. So yes, cleanliness can exist without wealth. It all depends on the person and what they believe in.
I believe hygiene is not only about money, but money helps. When you don’t have money, you sometimes have to choose between buying soap and buying food. When you’re worried about survival, personal hygiene might not be your top priority. That’s why many people who are struggling financially might find it harder to stay clean, not because they’re lazy, but because life is hard.
In the end, some people are naturally clean no matter how rich or poor they are. But if we’re being honest, money helps hygiene. It makes things easier, and it shows in your appearance, your environment, and your habits.
