Thanks to teachers, many of us have acquired relevant knowledge about life and different courses in the world, and with all this knowledge we have been able to thrive higher in life and in our education. Having a great teacher is the best thing that a student can ask for because learning from the best and not from a person who doesn’t know what he or she is doing will make a person be the best among their peers.
Though it’s said that we can learn from anyone and it’s not necessary that the person is a teacher by profession, which is true, learning from a professional teacher is the best as they have gone through extensive learning and a lot of teaching practice, which prepare them to be a good teacher to the students they are going to impact with knowledge.
As a person, I have been taught by different teachers, and looking at all the teachers that have taught me, from a lower basic school to a higher institution, the way one teacher teaches is different from the way the other teacher teaches, which makes them different from one another.
If I am asked to grade everyone of them on a scale of one to ten, it's a sure thing that I am going to grade a teacher on a scale of 0 because I just hate his teaching method, and anytime I remember this particular teacher, I wonder how he got to be a teacher because he is just so bad at teaching.
This particular teacher taught me and the rest of my classmates economics in high school, and he gets to take all the senior students. In the school, there are three classes because private schools only have classes from A to C.
Why he is the worst teacher
He was because all he knew how to do was ask us to copy notes from our textbooks to write in our notes. That's crazy, and I will have to wonder why I have to write back everything in my textbooks inside my notes. as in "it's annoying and frustrating." When we get to copying all the notes, he will come into the class and just be reading back the textbooks to us. Normal, he is meant to explain because the subject had calculations, but he will be explaining to us after he has asked us to copy all the subject outline from our textbooks to our note in a way that looks like he is reading to us.
The funniest part of his teaching is that if we tell him that we don't understand anything from what he taught us, he will ask us to take it as an assignment and do research on it. Too bad his teaching method affected me, and I didn't get to understand that subject the way I wanted to until I graduated from high school. I know those that went to science class will definitely suffer from his teaching method, and I wonder how they will be coping now in higher institutions. They will only do well if they don't depend on his teaching.
Enough about the worst teacher; the best teacher among those who have taught me is my literature teacher in high school.
It may look like I am exaggerating, but this lady should be given an award as the best teacher in the world. She is just too good at teaching and knows the best way to approach students by studying their behavior and their strengths and weaknesses. She is good because she taught us from simple to complex, made us feel loved, related to us like family, smile every time not like some teachers that frown, shared us in groups for assignments, and whenever she taught us and any of us didn't understand, she wouldn't say we should take it as an assignment as most teachers do, but she would rather start from the beginning again. With her doing this, we easily assimilate the things she taught us, and we are always happy to have her class anytime it's her period to teach us. That shows how great she is as a teacher, and if I am going to rate her, I am going to give her 10/100 because she deserves it.
