Hey! Before you start asking questions about my title, that is just it... I thought I had not gone to any reunion until I went through my gallery and found some really memorable pictures that I could share to talk about a reunion I experienced and it happened at a birthday party I attended.
I got invited by a close friend of mine who we attended the same degree programme together and stayed as roommates for a year, we kept in contact until a time she invited me to come for her dad's birthday party. It was a 70 years old birthday party, one of those kinds of birthday I rarely attend but I had to go because of my friend.
It wasn't easy to travel from my place to her father's place, my mum got a little worried about my movement but she allowed me so I was able to attend and it became one of the most memorable outing I ever did. I got there early enough but was surprised to see our other friends from the same program who she invited as well.
It was all fun and about catching up through out our stay there. It wasn't like our services was needed too much for the huge birthday party, we just hanged out around the venue laughing and taking lots of pictures to keep for memories. We also assisted in the little help they needed from us as guest friends.
My friend felt really happy to see all of us together even though not all of them honoured the invitation, the funny thing was that, we didn't get to see her father face to face but we saw how happy her mother was to have her daughter's friends come around.
Don't be surprised if I say this reunion/birthday party happened last two years 😅 I mean you could tell from the pictures that they are old pictures but they've been in my phone for as long as that, hopefully I'll have it updated by going on another reunion.
We all went back home with lots of gifts even after eating a lot and having drinks. There's a little secret in between this picture but I won't say. My friends were really surprised to see me actually fall for their suggestion and I liked how it all played out.
It's been two years, a lot has changed since we last saw each other physically. One of us is married, the rest of us are doing well in different aspects... They are all talented ladies, I'm so proud of them.
For some days now, another reunion have been sounding out in our group chat and it may be holding next two months, I'm not sure if I'll attend yet but I would love to. I'm hopeful I'll be free enough to attend when the day comes.
Reunions with old friends or classmates are so much fun, I can use just my one experience to judge it all. I look forward to having more of them in the future in good faith. Maybe a Hive reunion will come to reality for me too, I can't wait.
