Of course, just wanting to learn something is not enough, you have to expose yourself to that desire and dedicate yourself to it. Some things are easy to learn, others not so much. And each person has a personal inclination to understand certain types of things, while others are more difficult. Think about it: would your grandmother learn a recipe or programming faster? Each person has an easier time with things based on their experiences, and our brains respond better to things we are already familiar with. Learning something new in a completely different area is always more challenging.
Speaking of programming and learning, that was perhaps one of the most difficult things I've ever faced. Programming has been a real challenge. I've been in college studying computer science for a year and a half, but I decided to put it on hold. Not because I found it impossible to learn, but because of a few factors that led me to give up temporarily.
First, I felt that the college's teaching method was not compatible with my way of learning. I couldn't understand even the basics very well and had to study practically everything on my own, with YouTube videos. It wasn't what I expected, but I still tried to continue for a while. Another factor was time: I started to focus on personal projects and couldn't dedicate myself to college. Perhaps, when I became frustrated with the teaching method, I stopped prioritizing it. And when we don't prioritize something, our efficiency in learning decreases. So, it's not that programming is impossible, but rather that I'm not able to dedicate myself to it as I would like because of other circumstances.
But that's okay. I've done so many things in my life, so many that it would be difficult to describe. And often, these learnings are not even related to each other. I've learned to make biscuit miniatures, created an Instagram page about survivalism, been in the military, played musical instruments, among other things. Anything you can imagine, I may have tried at some point and in very different areas. I'm not one of those people who learn things quickly. I take a while to get started, my learning curve is slow at first, but after a while it takes off. That's why I think the hardest thing I've tried so far, and the one that took the longest to show results, was programming. And that's okay, it's understandable.
The big secret to learning anything is not necessarily interest, but consistency. If a person understands this, they can reach incredible heights. It's not so much the intensity that matters, but the frequency: doing a little every day is what makes the difference. And for anything in life, that's the real secret.

Cada pessoa tem mais facilidade de acordo com suas experiências, e nosso cérebro responde melhor a coisas com as quais já temos alguma familiaridade. Aprender algo novo em uma área completamente diferente é sempre mais desafiador.
Falando em programação e aprendizado, talvez essa tenha sido uma das coisas mais difíceis que enfrentei. Programar tem sido um verdadeiro desafio. Estou há um ano e meio na faculdade de Ciências da Computação, mas decidi trancá-la. Não porque achei impossível aprender, mas por alguns fatores que me levaram a desistir temporariamente.

Talvez, no momento em que me frustrei com o método de ensino, tenha deixado de dar prioridade àquilo. E quando não priorizamos algo, nossa eficiência em aprender diminui. Então, não é que programação seja impossível, mas sim que não estou conseguindo me dedicar como gostaria por causa de outras circunstâncias.
Mas tudo bem. Já fiz muitas coisas na vida, tantas que seria até difícil descrever. E, muitas vezes, esses aprendizados nem têm relação entre si. Já aprendi a fazer miniaturas de biscuit, criei página no Instagram sobre sobrevivencialismo, fui militar, tocar instrumentos musicais, entre outras coisas. Tudo que você imaginar, talvez eu já tenha tentado em algum momento e em áreas bem diferentes. Eu não sou daquelas pessoas que aprendem algo rapidamente. Demoro no começo, minha curva de aprendizado é lenta no início, mas depois de um tempo ela decola. Por isso, acho que a coisa mais difícil que tentei até hoje e que demorou mais para dar resultados, foi a programação. E tudo bem, é compreensível.
O grande segredo para aprender qualquer coisa não é necessariamente o interesse, mas sim a constância. Se uma pessoa entende isso, ela consegue alcançar patamares incríveis. Não importa tanto a intensidade, mas sim a frequência: fazer um pouco todos os dias é o que faz a diferença. E para qualquer coisa na vida, esse é o verdadeiro segredo.
