Generally, I feel in this 21st century it is rare to see an illiterate person because this generation doesn't joke with knowledge, or is this my observation only within the people around me? I grew up in an elite community and learned much from it. They're growing up on the Importance of knowledge and education, but there is one thing people lack, which is ignorance and a lack of understanding.

Literacy does not just classify with education, it also relates to parenting, neighbouring, and decision making. The way an educated person trains their children is different from that of an illiterate person. A literate person has access to ideas, information, history and diverse perspectives that can be of a positive influence on society. This is why most people describe knowledge as power, and I agree with this statement honestly speaking.
Basically, the way an elite induces a decision is different from that of an ignorant person. A literate person makes decisions in relation to what may profit him or her and society, but an ignorant person might only speak for himself or herself because he or she is limited to knowledge. For example, in the recent local government election that happened in my local government, the poor, illiterate people were easily manipulated because they were limited in their knowledge of the power and influence of their votes.
I believe literacy is not just about personal advancement but a collective survival and dignity that can have a positive influence on society when influenced by the right minds. Growing up made me understand that investing in literacy is not just teaching people about how to read but also teaching them how to lead and be of good behaviour in society. This is one thought that has really shaped me. I understand there are individual differences, but life moves on, and words and inspiration learnt have made me stronger, smarter and better at my decision making, but those who suffer ignorance a lot have to learn.

Communicating with the literate and illiterate will always be different because they both have different opinions and views based on their experiences. I often describe he illiterate as ignorant people, not that they are not experienced or understand better. I have seen smart and wise illiterate, but he truth is their knowledge is limited until a literate person can easily seek intensive knowledge and has equipped himself with basic knowledge and understanding better.
Although illiteracy does not necessarily mean a harmful occurrence or bad decision-making, sometimes the right decision and wisdom come from our basic knowledge, but the only thing is that an illiterate may lack critical thinking and knowledge about a phenomenon or experience
Literacy is a necessity. Experience has taught me that, and I am happy most parent are embracing their children to be far more educated than they are, because knowledge is power and it helps to solve problems and also contribute to a meaningful society positively.
