As a work-from-home person that I am, I've always found my screens very addictive to be on; from my phone to my Ipad, to my Laptop. Even when I want to take a break, there'll always be a deadline to meet up with, an online class to attend, plus assignments and projects to do.
It's harder than you can imagine to stay away from your screen.
Though, recently, I decided to be more intentional about my overall health, including my eyes.
I laid out a handwritten routine on how I'll be going about it and so far, it's been working for me and has proved effective.
So, I'll be sharing them with you Hivers.
Always take a cup of water once you wake up every morning.
Try to cut your intake of carbonated drinks, if possible stop it completely.
*Try to include fruits/food/drinks containing vitamin A supplements in your food timetable.(vitamin A is helpful for good eyesight)
Always reduce your screen time on your mobile, if you are the type that spends hours working on electronic devices, get a ray blocking glasses.
When you feel exhausted or worn out, please stop and take a break . You are human, even machines need a break too.
Waking very early in the morning will always give you a headstart among your competitors plus you get enough time to plan your day before leaving.
It's very advicable to sleep at night with lights off, cos once you leave the lights on your brain will get the perception that is still daytime thereby making it harder to fall asleep.
Lastly, do you know there's an actual life outside social media? Sometimes you need to put off that data and go out and spend quality time bonding positively and living a little. Don't be bound by the four walls of social media.
